- linda| 35 repliesGot a call also from this # and says it is GSA APP SVCS...BOGUS!!!
No message.. probably telemarketer wanting info - The Dude| 1 replyI got one too. A guy named Dan Brownwood from GSA Application Services calling "in regards to obtaining a GSA contract". I did not call back.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- chartreusexoxoThis guy asked for someone else at this residence, not me. I didn't get his name. When I told him that the person was unavailable in he asked for a voicemail. I told him there was no voicemail and began to ask him if he wanted to leave a message, but before I could finish my sentence he hung up in my face. I'm pretty sure it wasn't a "dropped called." So that tells me a lot. I'm not surprised. Normally I don't answer calls from places like these.

- Tom| 2 repliesThe phone number 813-347-4829 is for GSA Application Services, a vendor service company when selling products to the US Government. They are a legitimate business. If you are a residence and received a call then it was probably a miss dial, since they deal mostly with companies working on federal projects.
- Caller: GSA Application Services
- R| 2 repliesThis company contacts offices to solicit them for contracts with the government. Although they are a legit business, they are nonetheless vendors who will aim to call you for your business and if they can't speak to the person they want (or if you wish to take a message), they will hang up on you and try another day. Annoying.
- Caller: GSA
- TPThis Telemarketing company has called several times. If you plan to do business with GSA I would highly suggest you contact the GSA section that you would like to do business with. They will guide you through the process. In the long run this will save you thousands of dollars. Granted it will or will not take as long as having a third party do it for you. There is tons of information that is required by GSA and the honest third party will be requesting this information from you, so why not do it yourself?

- x2| 2 repliesSo is this a scam or not?
- jr replies to x2Not so much a scam as paying someone for something you can get for free if you do a little legwork yourself.
- concerned citizen| 7 repliesBeware of this company. They do not require an application be completed when they hire their employees. No background checks . Very general info filled out on vague appl when hired. They hire fronters to contact businesses to gather info and set appts. closers call yu back to take cc info . they are in violation of florida telemarketing regulations thru state ....none of their employees have telemarketing licenses, no background checks are done...they hire people off street. also in violation us banking laws post 09/11 due to soliciting bank acct and cc numbers. do not do business with this company they keep chaning thier name......

- MacGot a call from this number, but did not answer. They did not leave a message. Reading previous comments, I am sure that it is a business trying to lure you into paying for something that you can get for free, with a little work. I am a small business defense contractor & get these calls fairly regularly.
- Angie| 3 repliesI receiveda call saying the same - offering a 5 year contract. You do not need anybody to apply with GSA. It is free option and nothing guarantee that you can get a contract if you are not competitive and reliable provider. In others words..these people are looking to get money from you!

- LauraThese people have been calling my business at least once a week for the past 6 months. Each time I tell them politely that we are not interested in their services, and to please take me off of their call list. They always still try to pitch their services, but say they will not call again. I finally got short with one women telling her I had told them every time to take me off their list and I'm still receiving the calls, she told me I shouldn't be rude and hung up on me!! They called back again today, I would never use their services just because of this annoying nonsense!

- Scott replies to concerned citizenBeware huh? Thats funny, my uncle used their services and got on GSA Schedule in 4 months. He is in Montana which has been hit hard by weather lately and the economy stinks there. He is doing in excess of a million dollars with the government already.
Your probably the same guy going around running them into the dirt. You might want to mention that you started your own business doing the same thing. You should concentrate on doing your job correctly and running an honest business instead of resorting to hate tactics.
Grow up. - Scott replies to Angie| 2 repliesI can tell you from experience that its not free to get a GSA Schedule no matter how you approach it. If you pay salary to an employee to do the work for you that costs money. If you check with an attorney, they charge right around 20,000 to do the paperwork. I know I checked it all out for my uncles business in Montana.
Theres nothing wrong with a business providing a legit service for a legit price. Its 100% tax deductible if you hire a service company to do the work for you. The main thing is getting it done right and then knowing how to market properly. GSA Application services is not the only game in town. I checked out several companies when my uncle was searching. there are other companies that seem to provide a similar service.
Either way, each business owner must know what is best for them on an individual basis. But I don't see any issue with a company offering a service that can help businesses. By the way, the GSA does guarantee you $2500 in work or they will pay you for your time. So if your in business let me ask you this; do you charge for your services?
Hell, there are companies that make money charging people to walk their dogs and clean up the dog poo. People can do that themselves too. But some people prefer to pay for others to do it for them. Doesn't make the dog poo companies scumbags. You need to relax. You have issues
