Rec'd call from 813-358-3986. Said it was thru the Treasury Dept for some kind of federal offense and they wanted to let them help us....They said it was there second attempt trying to contact us.
 Got to be another scam. Got call last week from someone saying it was the Treasury Dept. That one was from California, This one from Fla. They didn't even id who they were trying to contact.

They keep calling & leaving messages.

I am in Snohomish, WA and I got a call from them today and one from a number in Los Angeles saying I was going to be arrested in 45 minutes for tax issues on my 2011 return.

"Steve Martin" left a message with this number.  The recording kept looping until it reached the max allowed on the VM.  "an important action by US treasury, to appear before a magistrate".
Had a similar call a couple of months ago and called them out on being a scam.  thought I had gotten rid of them.

Total scam.  Originates in either India or Pakistan.

Also received this same scam call. Have heard it's a common scam right now trying to get money from people for alleged unpaid back taxes.

"If you don't immediately call it will be an additional violation." It sure sounds like the Pakistani equivalent of "I'm from the government and I'm here to help." Was tempted to provide all of my Ex's info but, decided not to this time. I wonder what she's gonna do with all that extra money coming from Nigeria.

SCAM - May or may not be the same group that called me multiple times in late 2014; first using (888) 398-7206 and a month later using (202) 751-2495.  Claimed unpaid back taxes from from 2011.  Offered a one-time deal if I would send them money through federal cash transfer - immediately - while they stayed on the phone with me.  Those calls claimed to be from the IRS.  Although this group claims to be from the US Treasury Department, the looped voice message from "Steve Martin" sounds very similar to the looped tape that was used in the previous IRS scam.  Also, the accents of their "agents" sounded distinctly Pakistany or Indian - while claiming very American names.  I reported each previous call to the Dept. of Treasury Tax Fraud site (www.tigta.gov) to which I will also report this current call.

In trouble with the US Treasury Department on a Saturday Morning.  Definitely foreign voice speaking.  Hung up on me 5 times when questioned.

A Iraqi or Pakistani man called us claiming to be "Steve Martin" from the Department of Treasury. Had a very generic message about how he could help us with our 2011 tax return. If we didn't respond we would have to go in front of a judge or magistrate for tax fraud. We knew this was a scam, so we tried calling the little scammers back, and of course you can't get a hold of anyone. Most of the time we got a busy signal. Total scam and don't fall for this. I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Don't give them any of your personal information. Totally Bogus!!!!!!!

received call 5 min ago from 813-358-3986.  same jibberish as reported above.  I am in Oregon-Albany.  woll report to Treasury.gov.

Same as above.  This has been going on for weeks from various numbers.  I keep blocking them.  They do hang up on you if you call them back and question them at all.  Got a call yesterday from the same scam artists which my phone identified as a pay phone.  Really?  Who falls for this anyway.  There is an article on this scam on the IRS website and you can report it if you wish.

It's been 45 minutes.  Still at home.

Message from " US treasury" said it was an action against me - second attempt -  avoid further action. Called 3 times. 11:50, 11:51 and 12:33.  I have no issues, the government won't call and if I call them back I become total vulnerable.  Fishing - total scam.  DON NOT get caught.

Same message as above comments re: fed. offence and US Treasury.  This one from Odessa FL.  Definately a scam of some sort.  This guy was foreign for sure, no way his name is/was "Steve Martin"  Good for a laugh.

Just received same US Treasury phone call that we let go to answering machine from Steve Martin @ 813-358-3986.  We are located in Holland Michigan.  Amazing phishing scam phone call.  You would think that our real government would get involved with this one.  IGNORE.
