- Dark HorseI used my reward points to book a trip with Score Rewards. This number called me the same day...like an hour later. I called back and it said I recently visited one of their affliate websites and qualified for a $100 rebate card press 1 to claim or 2 to be placed on do not call list. I didn't check into the rebate offer I just pressed 2 and hung up.

- NA| 1 replyI never pick up #s I don't recognize, but I call back with *67 - which blocks my number to them - and I got a similar message when I called back: "This is Julie from rewards redemption. You recently visited one of our affiliate sites, and you qualify for a free $100 blah, blah, blah." It's [***], because I don't give out my phone number to anyone unless I know them personally. Thank goodness I have a "block this number" feature on my iPhone.
- oops replies to NA*67 doesn't work on toll-free numbers.
- AnnoyedCalls, but leaves no message. BLOCKED!
- joe replies to IloveChrist| 1 replythese scam people never stop unless the good old days laws will come back. With the internet era we have millions of crooks that scam the westerners. mostly crooks from Africa, Asia, eastern Europe. Only nukes will stop these parasites.
- AnonymGot a call this morning at 10am. I have mcafee security on my phone they called and it showed up saying that the number is reported as fraud/scam.
- I don't answer spam callsSpam caller; I reported to complaints.doNotCall.gov.
It AUTOMATICALLY-DOES-NOT-RING: On my cell phone, I've installed "Call Blocker Free - Blacklist" by NQ Mobile Security for Android phones. It is useful for non-business phones to only accept calls from phone numbers I want, incoming unwanted calls automatically do not ring (rings on the spam caller end of the call, but not the recipient end and shows in the app instead of the phone call log). I go to the app>Main screen>Funnel icon>Blocking mode> change it to: "Accept ONLY FROM WHITELIST and CONTACTS". Add the phone numbers you wish to receive calls from to your Contacts (keep your Contacts up-to-date as normal) and/or add non-contacts that you wish to receive a call from to the app Whitelist. With my phone carrier service, I also turn voicemail OFF so that it doesn't pickup a spam call after its set time to record.
UPDATE: I'm liking "Call Blocker" by embware for Android phones better for the same and additional capabilities. It has the added ability to add a blocked non-spam number chosen from the blocked call log to the unblock-whitelist, with a name so I know the name associated with the phone number. And, it has the added ability to allow one-click-calling a whitelisted-allowed number. If you want to download it from google play, it has a 'B' on a padlock icon. I change the call setting from "block private number" (hidden callerID) to allow "phonebook only" (only allow incoming calls from Contacts and Whitelist). It only works for Android version 4 or less. The latest embware version changed to a 10-second delay to open (demo) but seemingly fully-working version. - HateSpammers replies to IloveChristLemme know if that "rebuke" thing works. I need to exorcise the spammers out of my phone!
- Nashville| 1 replyCalled back and played along.
They tell you that you've been selected out of 1,000 people to receive $100 gift card for Target/Wal-Mart.
However, they ask for you to cover shipping of $8.90 and want a valid credit card to cover it.
Also, they try to reassure you by giving their name, ID number, customer service line, let you know it's being recorded, etc.
I gave a bad card number and they tried to verify while on the call and saw that it was invalid.- Caller: Scammer
