I requested that they remove me from their calling list 5 months ago. Just got another call today. Sent them a second request via email through their website wafop.com     Since my first request was ignored, I am led to believe that the people calling are NOT the actual Washington State Fraternal Order of Police, but in fact some other rogue outfit that is impersonating them.  If I have to send a third request, then it is for certain that there is fraud being perpetrated, especially since their telephone I.D. is tagged "Unknown." More to follow if necessary.

They called at 9:30 AM and hung up before the machine picked up the call.

Called at 9:45, left no message. Caller ID says Maxwell Interac

called at 8:52am est. 10/07/2009 rang three times then they hung up. going to find out who they are now. Just called them back, it says they are the Florida Fraternal Order of Police. Carry answered and said she apologized for the early call and would take my number down in order to remove me from the list. Probably not a scam but "Really" who starts calling before 9a.m. to solicite for money...not a good way to get on someones good side. I used to call for the  Florida Police Atheletic League and Benevolent Society, we never called before 4 P.M.

This number is used for fundraising for the Florida Fraternal order of Police. We are raising money to help our officers. Florida Fraternal ORder of Police

Call was AT 7:02pm 10/20/2009. claiming to be someone from the Floridia Fraternal Order Of police. Sound like a Scam to me. The guy over the phone. He did not tell me his name. But he new mine and he went into a song and dance about why he called. So when he finished. I politely told him that he called the wrong number,then he asked me what was my name and if I would be interested in donating. I'm guessing the last thing that he heard on the other end was crickets! With this economy even the wealthy is holding out! Why attack those who are struggling! Oh Paaaa-leeee-za..!!

From what I was told by our local police department they NEVER solicit money via a phone call.  All donations are done in person by local police officers.  If they call you again hang up tell the FTC about the fraudulent calls and let them handle the scam.  It is a scam so do not give any money. EVER.

Never give in to these con artists. They call on BEHALF of the Fraternal Order of Police- they are NOT the FOP. These are boiler room, cheese ball, Bernie Madoff types that take 80% of your money and send 20% to the Fraternal Order of Police, if that much. It's another scam.

I am on the do-not-call list; and just got a call from this number.

Calls from "organizations" saying they are raising money for police, fire dept, ANYTHING THEY SAY - is all [***], pure and simple.  The vast majority of money raised goes to the "organizations" doing the calling - NOT to the group they purport to represent.  Anyone who says any different is lying.  

When I get one of these calls, I say "hold on" and let them stay for a while before I hang up.  If they call back, I teach them new words.

These people are relentless.  I check my caller Id when I get a suspicious  call but don't answer.  Then I look up the number on this site.  So far, the  FL Fraternal Order of Police have called me from three (and counting) different area codes:

Just got a call from them asking to speak to the lady of the house. Said she's not home. Who is this? He said I can't really hear you, I'll call back. I said don't bother and hung up.

Toay got a call from this number for the fourth time asking for the lady of the house. Said he was Brian from the Police Department but you are not in trouble. When he was told that the lady is not at home, he said he will call back later.

Received a call at 9:30AM on 11/4/2009.  Caller hung up before the answering machine picked up.  I have blocked them so good luck to them calling in the future
