Received several calls from them. Picked up once, an Indian lady with accent mentioned herself from homeland security office and said I was issued an arrest warrant because I violated the homeland security law. I asked why. She said I have money transactions from other countries didn't report in tax, and gave me a IRS file numbe. I said there wasn't any mail or email to me about a warrant. And she wants me to verify my address. I asked her to say my address for me to verify. She wouldn't say my address. And she threatened me if I hang up the phone, I will get arrested in 15 minutes.

That is a fraud call!

OMG! I received the same call this morning! The guy said that he is from IRS investigation department, but mentioned Homeland Security. I said I am reaching out to my attorney NOW and he started threatening me. So I told him I am not giving any info and I don't feel secure to do that over the phone, The guy said no one will help me now. Because the arrest has been issued. I freaked out. Called IRS and attorney. IRS confirmed my account is in good standing and that was a scam

Reported to FTC and filed a complaint to IRS who is investigation these fraud call.

Horrible! I hope these ppl just turn into frogs ;-/ I almost had a heart attack :(

I've been getting calls from this number for the past weeks. I finally picked up and the indian lady threaten me that there is a warrant because of several illegal transactions and that I got two warrants in the past.

I received the same call and was instructed to pay the amount within the next 45 min not disconnecting phone, otherwise I will be arrested. She was aggressive and threatening. It became suspicious that I need to pay in cash only, etc. I hang up.

I agree.  Frog-fraud.

Total scam.  Originates in either India or Pakistan.

IRS does not file lawsuits.   Court action, if any is handled by the DOJ and all parties are entitled to legal assistance if it is a criminal matter.  But--tax disputes are for the most part civil matters.  90% of all IRS tax disputes are settled administratively.  IRS has absolutely no authority to call on local law enforcement for anything. Local law is never involved in IRS tax disputes. IRS has no powers of arrest.    If LE is necessary, US Marshals do the job.  IRS does not cold call anyone and ask for money. IRS does not accept Green card money paks for payment in any case.  No one is prosecuted for ordinary tax disputes. IRS has absolutely no authority over anyone's professional license. Professional licensing is handled by state governments.  Yes, levies on property to satisfy an existing tax obligation do occur, but only after a very long period of negotiation. And yes, liens are placed on individuals but  usually after a lot of negotiation and a failure to reach a settlement.    All determinations of tax liability are subject to appeals.  All  contacts by the IRS are initiated by US mail.

I got a call and they told me that I had lied on my taxes and that I owed them over $4,000. But couldn't tell me what the issue was. That I would be arrested shortly.

ITS A SCAM, please don't fall for it like I did..
