- cougar7Tina a very nasty unprofessional rep called after I had spent hours (most of the day infact) trying to locate the bank holder of the other unit in my condex (duplex w/each side owned independently) so I could inform them of a disaster. The pipes had burst in their unit...causing damage in mine. I had advised her that if it were not for the fact I had a contractor working in my garage I would not have caught the water damage so fast (I had been down the basement 20-25 minutes prior to finding the flood. We share the same well and the water holding tank and pump are on their side. I had to have an electrician run a temporary power line to my electric panel and a plumber cap off their line as the isolation valve was not working. The Fire Department had to break in - turn off their water & power as the pipe that burst on their 2nd floor had saturated their celing and invaded the electrical fixtures. She very nastly with a negative fighting tone asked if I was sure it wasn't my pipe. I again relayed the FD's statement that the pipe on their 2nd floor caused the damage that no power could be turned back on until all electrical repairs were made and inspected (no thanks for prompt attention to the matter and locating them to advise of the disaster) She said they would not reimburse me for the electrican as I would have to have te temporay fix made permanent as they intended to turn off the electrical anyway. I told her the FD would not allow the fix to be permanent as the power has to be on the same side as the holding tank. She said I'd have to get my own well dug!! She's assuming the well is on their side because the holding tank is BUT the well is on my property. If anyone digs a new well it'll be them. I said "Are you saying I should call a lawyer?" The insurance (policy in the previous owners name but cost split with me) had lapsed for non-payment. I never received my bill as I pay when it arrives. I was never notified of a cancellation. The insurance company did accept my payment on the day of the occurance 1/19 although it had lapsed 1/10. This is going to be a nightmare. I had a contractor scheduled to insulate the holding tank and pipe from the well with the possibility of running a heat tape to my side for power...she again very nasty said take care of your own side we'll take care of ours. I'm 62 and have not run across a more insensitive rude individual in decades.
- Bill SCI have no idea why this person keeps calling. We have no delinquent loans. My guess was that she may have typed in the wrong area code, but after seeing some of the posts on this site and others, I'm suspicious that this is just some kind of a scam.

- Double A| 3 repliesI just received a call from this number. On a business line. They were looking for one of my employee's. We receive tons of sales calls and I have learned to weed them out. Especially with the help of Caller ID. When I told them it was a business line and that we do not accept personal phone calls he said he'd try back on Monday. I should also mention that they called me @ 4:45 on a Friday afternoon. I just got this call and I had to look up the number because the man was so rude and I wanted to warn my staff. Who happens to be an older woman and could be easily roped into a scam.
