Some crock of crap scam where they said a US-based company had a pending lawsuit against my company for $5000 and they would like to collect. I informed them I was a Canadian company and the guy on the phone was an idiot

scammers called my cell from florida VOIP phone. asking for a $5000 settlement for a pending lawsuit against my small home based business which serves a small town of 1500 people LOL!

i informed them ive never done business in the usa, and am a canadian company. they didnt even have my business name right, they took the info from my kijiji advertisement.

told the guy he was an idiot

called our small company and said a local union was suing us and would like to settle out of court. Gave us a case number and everything. I took the information down and looked it up because a union wouldn't use a lawyer in Florida for Illinois. People like this need to be drawn and quartered.

This is a scam artist, I returned his calls after 5 minutes , and he didn't know who I was. This guy is cold calling 100's of phone numbers a day looking for an idiot.

This Dbag called and said if I don't settle this fictitious case against me, They would contact my landlord, customers and vendors and lock up my bank accounts. Who can we report these scam artists to? Were smart enuff not to fall for it. How many people aren't?

I recently got a judgement against me and this idiot must have gotten my information from the court system and is trying to trick me into paying him instead of the real plaintiff.  He is not even in my state.

must have gotten my info from some public site, tried to claim our business was being sued and he could settle the claim immediately for half of the cost out of court.  idiot.  i  hope no one falls for this guy.  there is a special place in hell for these people.
