recieved a call asking me to verify my last 4 of credit card.  Claimed I used it at Walmart and am eligible for a prize due to an unspecified product I purchased.  Sounds like a scam to me.

got a call saying I just made an internet purchase ( I didn't) and to call them back at a different number and again I didn't......

Called my cell phone.  Left no message.

I suggest EVERYBODY go to the FFC web site (FCC.gov) and click the "file a complaint" on the lower left menu. Follow the questions from there. FCC can't do anything if they don't know this is happening. You can also call them if you'd rather (the site has contact info). Cold calls (dead air, no answer, or no ability to return calls) is ILLEGAL. Telemarketting to a cell phone is also illegal too.

Also if anyone can find out who this company is, start filing state attorney general complaints for fraud. The phone# is from Tampa FL area. See fonefinder.net for lookup on phone# location. I suggest attorney general because complaining to the BBB is often just as good as complaining to your neighbor. BBB is a consumer database only, so complaining is good to alert others, but attorney general is needed to actually get people sent to jail or businesses shut down.

If you return the call from your cell, they screen and block the call. If you block caller ID or call from a land line you have 80 seconds of spurts of ringing (3-4 rings at a time with a dead air pause, this might be a loop in their system), then the call is dropped. I've been unable to answer the 3 times they called so I couldn't find out who they are but will do attorney general complaints as soon as they do.

I just received a call from 813 774-5151 wanting me to allow Wallmart charges on my credit card.  Tried calling this number back with no answer.

They called me twice today on my cell, but left no message

Didn't answer - I called back, Message said, "We are currently having technical difficulties, please call back tomorrow."           My phone numbers are supposed to be on "The Federal do not call List."    BE WARY!!!!

I've also received numerous calls from this number. I called back, someone answered the phone "hello." I asked who it was and they asked the same question back to me! I asked them to veri
fy their number, and he did. He wouldn't tell me what company he represented unless I veified the last four digits of my credit be a certain 4 numbers, because it depended on what purchase I made!?!? Sounds really fishy to me don't give these people ANY information. He stumbled over every question I answered and all he would say is they were a "sub-contractor."

the people calling are people from a be your own boss website...they called my cell phone...and I have called and the line is not dead...it isn't a scam....I just POLITELY asked them to please remove me from the list and they did so...it's not rocket science...

I receive a call from this number twice this week on my land line. Tonight, they called at 9 pm. They claimed to be from the Order Conformation Department for Dish Network. They were going to send me a $200.00 gift certificate. When I started asking them questions, we either got disconnected or they hung up.

The only transaction I've done in the past 2 weeks was with Dish Network. Someone either at Dish Network or Sobongo (formerly National Programming Service...NPS) has either allowed their transactions to be seen or someone on the inside has sold that information to scammers.

Same deal as Windslam.  They knew my full name and knew about my recent purchase from Dish Network.  They said they were "World Corp" or something close to that name I didn't quite get it all.  

Said I won a 200.00 Wal-mart Gift Card.

They have called me approximately 12-15 times over that past 3 or 4 days.  They do not leave a voicemail.

I called Dish Network to register a complaint about being called by 813-774-5150. After several transfers in which I was disconnected and over 1 hour on the telephone,  I was able to speak with a supervisor. The supervisor said they were unaware of this problem. I told them I am now making them aware. They denied their information could be given out since they don't use 3rd parties that someone else must have given out the information. They claim to be looking into the matter.

I am filing a complaint with the FTC and my local police along with fraud alerts to the 3 major credit reporting agencies (only need to contact 1, they are required by law to inform the others.).I cancelled the credit card used in the original transaction with Dish Network.

I suggest anyone having received one of these calls to do the same thing. Your credit information has been compromised and you may become a victim of identity theft.
