I certainly don't know anybody in Erie, PA.

When I picked up the guy sounded actually surprised somebody answered.

I just put my phone up to my computer speaker and let him listen to what i was watching until he hung up.

Got a call from a guy claiming to be the Fraternal Order of Police. I hung up.

Called  at 7:56 pm on 10/20/13 and said that he was with the Fraternal Order of Police, Told him I was not interested and hung up.

Scumbags - said they are looking for donations for police training - this is a scam

I let the machine answer and they did not leave a message. I'm on the do not call list so why did they call?

Picked up the call and no one replied when I asked who was calling

I don't know the company that call but they are using our number on different numbers 215-381-5815 and 814-204-2708 can someone please help our number is private so me and my husband is not understanding it

Scammers and illegal telemarketers do this to actually hide themselves since what they do is illegal. Here is a explanation of what spoofing is:

What you Might consider doing is filing a report to your phone service provider(s) that someone is using your numbers for this.

The Do Not Call list doesn't apply to political calls or calls for campaigns such as the one the Fraternal Order of Police is running, because it is for "charity" as they are collecting donations. This is perfectly legal, and not subject to the DNC restrictions.

If you want charities and political campaigns to stop calling you, you have to answer the phone and talk to them. Ask them to remove you from their list. Only then can you file a complaint, and only if they call you after you requested removal.  

If anyone bothered to read the Do Not Call List rules and regulations, you would know that.

Not leaving a message on an answering machine doesn't  violate any DNC laws.

Bothering me on the weekend, especially on a Sunday does. DO NOT CALL MEANS JUST THAT. I DONT CARE IF ITS POLITICAL OR NOT!

Callled and asked for a donation to FOP I told him I wasn't interested and hung up. The dude called back I didn't pick up. a scam for sure

Has been calling every night just before 8 PM for the last 2 weeks - no message.

800-204-2708 is harassing and is not a "Fraternal Order of Police Phone" as stated by caller

Caller ID was V102111506000568, whatever that is supposed to mean.  I never answer and they never leave a message. A waste of everybody's time.

I have a relative who is a retired state policeman. He said these calls are a scam and they do not solicit donations over the phone.
