- Vanessa RSame thing, received a call from this Indian (not native american) man, stating that I was going to be charged with Violation of Federal Banking Regulation, Collateral Check Fraud, Theft by Deception, and Intentional Misappropriation of funds. Scared me to death, worried sick..... so I research. Sounds like a scam to me. I call him back and ask for him to send me documentation, he says he only works for the company and cant send anything. Then I tell him that I googled the law firm and its not available anywhere on line. He proceeds to give me a website cooperlawpc.com, I look it up with him on the phone and (surprise, surprise) it says "Welcome to Cooper Law" then in smaller print it says "Under construction". He babbled a little and said that it would be up and running in the next week to 10 days. I told him he was a scam artist, and that I would be informing the attorney general. He welcomed me to do so, and said he would continue to file the charges as planned. I am sooooo glad I looked into this, and I asked the attorney general to let me know what the outcome is, perhaps there is a way to press charges for "pretending to be a company, lawyer, or something they are not." Not to mention the fact that they are scaring people like you and I into giving them money for free. I hope this creep gets whats coming.

- Kristin| 6 repliesWhat a joke. When I got the first few a while back I was terrified but then looking further realized how false this is. Not to mention in the emails, the grammar is bad and uses terms that we do not use.
Example:
This is also to inform you that the creditor has all the rights and authorities to inform your employer about this case and what will be the results and consequences comes once this case is downloaded and executed with the judgments against you, it is because you have kept your employer’s name as a security and also as an additional security two more names were used.
Finally, you have the right to hire an attorney, if you have one or if you cannot afford one then one shall be appointed to you by American Law Department. But please make sure that you have someone to help you out regarding this case because once this is downloaded and executed with judgments against you and if you found guilty under the bench of jury then you have to bear the court charges as an penalty and the Amount is $4878.23 excluding your bail charges, your attorney charges and the due amount pending on your name.
Finally, your name and Social Security Information would be reported to the three major credit bureaus of USA such as,

2.) Tran union LLC
3.) Experian
Ultimately it would be affecting your FICO scores by 85 negative points and your social security number would be black listed and you would also never be eligible for the benefits such as Disability benefits, unemployment benefits, child protection, social security income and retirement or pension in future.
According to orders of the court house the State Investigation Department Officers will deliver all this legal documents to your current employer and that can risk your current job and once the judge opens your case for execution legally on July 20, 2015 than this charges will be reflecting on your Credit Reports because of which it will be very difficult for you to get a new job in future.
Finally, this case is going to be downloaded in your State County Court and your Local County Sheriff department on July 20, 2015 at 11.00 am as per your State Standard Time and after then you will be forced to resolve this case legally by facing all the legal problems and spending money on your attorney as fees, case execution charges, legal penalties, bail charges, paper development charges on the top of the due amount that you owe from your creditor which is $749.00.
If you are willing to settle it out of the court you can surely respond positively today itself. There shall not be any further correspondence via email. You can contact the number listed below.

- Scarlett P| 1 replySame thing is happening to me right now. I do have bad credit and bills I am trying to pay off so scared me to death. I did ask for documentation from the creditor and was told that I would get copies of paperwork after it was paid. I'm glad I have read this as I was going make a payment today! Instead, I am forwarding my email to my sister who works for an attorney and get advice. Please investigate before you pay! The name on the caller id is not even the name that is the letter. I also went to the website which is still under construction and obviously from previous post, is still not operational. Beware!

- WolfmanJack replies to Scarlett PNo one gets served by e mail, they would have to send you a letter by certified, return receipt mail. The English used to write that e mail came out of a failed translation program.
