WARNING: SCAM, they Text a scam message to me regarding an item i have for sale on craigslist,
they send a fake cert check to you for more than your amount and want you to send real money back!

I also just received a text saying they would buy an item i posted on craigslist via cashier's check and then pick up the item when the check cleared. I had only posted the item less than a hour prior to receiving the test... seemed a bit strange that fast. I looked up the # as they gave no other information before sending any reply. I found this so I then replied, "First I need more personal information such as name, location, bank they do business ith and informed them I ONLY accept CASH or Paypal and possible bank transfer depending on verification of all information and proof of such".

I am sure they will either not respond or no longer be interested in "purchasing my item for sale"...If they do however, I will be reporting them to more than this website you can count on that! I do not take fraudulent acts of anykind lightly and have the connections to make sure this is the last time they try this!

Any other information you or anyone else has been able to gather on this individual would be greatly appreciated if also posted here to try to catch and deter these scaming worthless individuals!

That number hit my line for a car I have for sale and said the same stuff as everyone else and my dad told me it sounded like a scam so I told him to pay me in cash or over paypal and he said he didnt have one.

Craigslist scam out of Illinois.  Their pathetic attempt at the English language was hilarious.

Thank you all for posting.  They just responded to one of my ads as well.  You guys saved me from getting duped, I was a little suspicious and when I typed in the phone number your responses were the first to appear.  Do any of you know who or what company this is, I cannot find any more information on the number without paying, but I would certainly like to turn this person in for scamming.  People like that really irk my behind and I would like to have justice served.  Lol!

Craigslist Scammer.

I just got it too!  Knew right away it was a scam.  I am trying to figure out a fun way to mess with him.  Maybe I will give him the address of the local police department or some other agency, lol

I posted an item on Craigslist and got a text right away about Price Lee being interested. He wanted personal information and wanted to give a cashiers check. I checked in with my husband and he said it didn't sound right. I googled his name and got nothing. I googled his number and this popped up. I'm so glad I found this before going through with this! After I said I wanted proof of his information, he never responded. Lets try and get this scammer off the Internet!

Posted add on Craigs list .two hours later got text I will be paying by certified check sent via Fedex upon clearance of the check I will pick up item. This is a total scam!

Just got a check via Priority mail. Item I was selling was $450...sent a check for $1850! Responded within an hour of posting on Craig's List...name Price Lee ...Check from Nef Tech, Northridge, CA..address on envelope was from Hillsboro College in Texas. Looked up routing # which was bogus.. reporting them to postal inspectors ...Texted him back just to mess with him.

I posted a resume on craiglist for a job and they texted with "We are Global link Merchant,We need an online secretary to send  out our payrolls.We are paying $300 Weekly"

I knew it was bogus and I'm glad there are others who noticed too, thank you all.

This person sent a text saying they were sending a certified check and would also include delivery money for movers - to pay the movers the delivery money when they came to pick up bikes - it is a scam and I absolutely hate people like this...remember...we can find you...I work for a law firm and we can hire people to find you scammers! Buyer beware!

Scum bag contacted me about my add,,,told the [***] that to call only...Thay must not understand English.

Just got the same thing, but didnt think anything of it until after he got our address.  Going to destroy the check, but what should I do about them having our address?
