Wanted to speak with me regarding an urgent matter.

Got a phone call. No message left.

unknown caller from 816-278-1290, wasn't important to leave a message. never answer any call without knowning  caller or a voice message stating what they want.

Caller would not identify what the company did....

Received a call from this number.  Did not know who it was, so I allowed it to go to voice mail.  They did not leave a message.  I Googled the number and it showed it to be a collection agency.  However, a reverse look up on White Pages showed it to be a transmission company in Kansas City, MO.  This just does not sound very legit to me.  Be careful answering any questions to these people!!

It is a collection agency. JUST remember when thay ask your name, you ask WHO ARE YOU first!!!  Once they tell you hangup.

Got a call on my cell phone from 816-278-1290 in MO. Not a person. An automated voice said, "Please hold on while we retrieve your information." I hung up.

Who are these people? What do they want? And, most importantly, can they electronically steal my cell phone information?  In this day and age, I wouldn't be surprised.

Anyway, I wonder if anyone else had a similar experience.
