Got a call from this number,  one of many!

Got a call asking for money from TX State Troopers. No idea, how he got my number. The guy said his name was James. He wouldn't take no for an answer. Very persistant. Didn't want to be rude, but told him not able to at this time. He will ask you for your address and name so that he can send you an envelope if you wish to contribute.
(Scam?) Need to be cautious these days. Everyone looks for ways to make money.

I'm somehow in these people's crosshairs despite being on the national DNC registry.  This "Texas State Troopers" fund has called me regularly from several different numbers for A COUPLE OF YEARS now.

DO NOT GIVE THEM MONEY.  They word is they pocket the maximum allowed and they obvious harass people with unwanted phone calls.

I support the police force but find some better way to donate than through these [***].

I cannot understand how they haven't been stopped.

Got a call from this number numerous times........does not leave a message!  Its beginning to get annoying......
Why can't these people be stopped??
Even a block doens't stop them!!

I got the same call, and they claimed to be Public Appeals.  I have gotten phone calls from this one, Oklahoma, some other state, and several other numbers.  Just to let you know, they also sell your information to several other so called charities.

Shows up on Caller ID as Grapevine, TX. It's a phone boiler room because you can hear many voices talking in the background, but they leave no message on my answering machine. Got to be a scam.

DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE MONEY! If you will contact your local Texas Department of Public Safety office and talk to them about these con artsits. A few years back I did research and a news article on these people. According to their IRS docs, they only give a VERY small amount of the money they take in to any benefit fund.

Got this call tonight.  Tried to call back but "the caller is not taking calls right now".  SCAM
