Same old US Treasury scam recording from another a new number.  "Steve Jordan" with Indian accent trying to find a victim falling for this on-going scam.  Caller id showed "Unavailable."

Treasury scam call by someone named  Steven T Jordan. They are looking to get your personal information. The Treasury will never contact anyone by phone

Called and said I owed taxes and I've had no income for 5 yrs

Says its a Call from U.S Treasury and to avoid going in front of grand jury "help us to help you".

Left message, treasury scam.... They want to help me.

Person who speaks very bad english telling me I will be going before grand jury and the judge if I don't contact them about an important legal matter. Second time in one month. Last time I told them they were a bunch of scammers and to find a real job.

They keep calling me from different numbers, speak poor English and say I will have to appear before a grand jury and to "let them help me" They call as early as 6 AM with the recorded message. My no soliciting message on the phone cuts off half of what they say. Today I called their number and could hear lots of noise in the background. She kept asking me to give her my first name
when I wouldn't do it she hung up on me. Hopefully, it is the end of this nonsense!!

Fake IRS Scam:
I received many times, sometimes several times a day. The message left was "This call is from IRS, the IRS agent file a lawsuit against you, please call back on 360-205-7066, they are waiting for your phone call."

Fake Treasure Scam:
“Hi, my name is Steve Jordan, and this message is intended to contact you regarding the enforcement action executed by the United States criminal offence, intending detection, ignore them will be intentional second attain, all grand jury for federal criminal offence. My number is 817-533-9843, I repeat it’s 817-533-9843, I want you to cooperate with us, thank you.”

These kinds of scam already happened all over in the Asia countries for the past six or seven years. Recently, start to move to west countries.
The voice must come from robot, hard to mention each individual called party name.

How to avoid these kinds scam?

First, NEVER CALL BACK. NEVER CALL BACK. NEVER CALL BACK! (when you call back, they can reroute your call to a fake IRS phone, and ask you to pay the bill electronically. They can change their caller ID to any number, they can reroute your call to any number. Usually they work as a team, can be from 10 to 50, or even more than 100 people, and they call from third world countries, like Kenya, middle east countries.)

Second, if the real IRS or Treasure would like to contact you, they will mail you by formal document letter professionally, with very clear IRS or Treasure department person name with job position, contact address, phone number, and case number.

Good old Steve Jordan with the recorded voice just called - same message George just posted.  I'm really worried about this call it MUST be legit, right?  I hope Shiva visits his home today and totally destroys it...

I got the same message on the phone and thought to myself:  is it a scam ?  Sure enough.  Good thing that I didn't call back. Thx for sharing this scam report.

yes same thing. i wonder if i should get the treasury involed in this.pissing off the biggest police in the world is a no no.

Please please please report to: https://www.irs.gov/uac/report-phishing .... DON'T CALL BACK. Then they will have your number and name (via caller id).  IRS will contact you via the mail if they have a problem with your account   the 817-533 belongs to something called GLOBAL CROSSING in FORT WORTH TEXAS (another phone company) .  PLEASE DONT GET SCAMMED.

This Steve Jordan has called us several times.  IRS will not call, they will send correspondence.  Agreed, never answer, never call back, just ignore.  No matter how much you want to call them back to tell them to eff off.

The caller now has a British or Australian accent. Same old Treasury scam, guess we all better call before the magistrate sends the police to arrest us!

This is a serious criminal act and these people need to be prosecuted! I'm worried for vulnerable people,for e.g.,  elderly people with dementia, etc.

I called the dude back who didn't even answer with an official greeting and told him to stop calling me. He sounded amazed that I called back and told him to cut it out. It was like I caught him unawares. I have received two recorded messages and now a real one. [***] is all that I can say.

I've been keeping track of these scammy calls, most all have some kind of third world or East Indian accent. hmmmmm?
