telemarketers trying to get money for a train ride. More garbage to fund telemarketers.

Called 2da during lunch. Did not answer. Did not leave voicemail.
"Shady" says it all, huh. Dcks.

Don't usually answer these but today am waiting for delivery notification with a business I haven't dealt with before so caught me off guard. Said he was Jeremiah from JayCees...all he got out because I hung up. Looking at the other posts apparently there is nothing legitimate about this number. Appears they are using any and all cons they hope will work.

"Heather with Jaycees"- sure! Asked again to be removed from list.  Funny how ID shows Shady Grove Bap.  Probably another telemarketing firm hired to raise funds, but the firm keeps most of the money, NOT the charity.  I do NOT support this BS!

I called the number back (hid my caller ID!) & got a bozo (thought it was Mrs Benevides calling him back!) now claiming to be helping out the Jaycees by making calls for donations.  When I asked why Caller ID shows Shady Grove Bap, he acted all confused- had no idea!  Can we spell S-C-A-M?!!!!!!

Received a call today from this number. Appeared on the caller ID as, "M Turner". Male caller claimed he was calling from Breast Cancer Research. I told him not to call again. These people have been harassing me for months from other phone numbers.

Recd call.  When I picked up no one was there.  I do not know a M Turner.  Phone co. can only block unknown and unavailable #'s.  It just happens that my Panasonic cordless phone has a call block under settings.  I just have to enter the number that called me and my phone system will block that number.  It will also unblock at my request.

Called yesterday and today.  No one said anything.  I'm on all the do not call lists and I've been getting 2 or more a day from various numbers for the last month.  So tired of this!

Received calls 3 days in a row from this number. Id says shady grove baptist church and they claimed to represent Fort Worth JC's wanting donations for children's teddy bears.

Didn't recognize the name and only know 3 people who live in the 817 area code (Ft Worth area) so we didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.  My friends always leave a message.  'nuff said unknown caller.  Remove our number from your list and since we pay for our phone, you do not have permission to sell, give, trade our number to anyone.

Just an FYI.... This is a Church calling.  They are 'supposedly' collecting bears for the Ft. Worth JC's.

I find some of the remarks posted about these ‘faux telemarketer calls’ amusing.  I put together a software program that has logged over 380 of these nuisance calls since 2012.  Those of you that let the calls roll to your answering machine, voicemail or worse yet answered the call you have just ensured you will more of these calls.  Maybe not from the same number, but they’ve just identified your number as valid.  Most of the initial calls originate from software (aka; ‘robocalls’) – once your number is identified as active, then a person may be there on the follow up calls.  If you have the capability to ‘block’ the number that called – that is the best action.  If you don’t have a blocking option, keep a phone with caller ID close by and simply hit ‘talk’ and ‘off’ simultaneously.  This will reduce the number of nuisance calls, but not stop them.  If you really want to block them – there is software available that a layman can install.  Of the 380 calls I’ve blocked, only 16 have been in the last 6 months.  So the message is simple – blocking works….
PS:  I think Call Notes should add a 'Call Type' for 'Spoof' or 'Scammer Calls'!

Also received a call from this number, but was unable to see the contact information - awaiting a special shipment - so I returned the call to M Turner. Female answered the phone for Fort Worth Jaycees. Told them not to call back, if necessary send via mail the information they wished to express and hung up. Looked up the Fort Worth Jaycees - company has been inactive for over three years. Obviously some form of scam.

Call from this # a few minutes ago.  CID said Shady Grove Ba.  Based on the posts above, sounds like someone has been using this number for quite a while, so not just a scam, but maybe a spoofed and out of service number?

Caller ID said "M Turner" and female asked my machine "is anyone there". Based on other comments I assume this is someone calling wanting money.
