This company tries to send you  promotional  tape and then will bill you for it. then when you try to return it, they charge you shipping. Very rude customer service person also!!!!

I confirm Lori's message above.  I had 2 phone calls from AllState Shipping Supplies telling me they were sending me a free gift with my order of tape and were calling to verify my address.  The second phone call raised my suspicions when they told me my order was being shipped on an "open invoice".  When I discovered the order was for $489 of tape - an order I did not place - I asked to cancel the order.  The caller said she'd cancel the order.  However; it was shipped to our agency anyway - a discover we made when we were sent the invoice.  Ultimately we were able to refuse the order.  I have alerted my Accounting department that the invoice should NOT be paid.

We received tape we did not order along with an invoice for 499.62. When we called to tell them we did not order this product were told there would be a 25% restocking fee.  This is a nothing but a scam.

Well I just got the same call. Offering me the same stuff etc...then went in to how they were going to send me some tape etc...then right at the end when the idiot thought I wasn't paying attention he mentioned the invoice. I said excuse me what invoice...when I started to say no he hung up. I did call return and it gave me a 800 number that it rings once then goes busy. So I started to search the internet and found this site with this number. I called immediately and went off and told them that if I even received mailings from them that all hell would break loose and to take our company information off their list. Disgusting company...

Received the sales call from this company on Friday. The sales representative will make it seem that they will be shipping you some catalogues, a box of clear tape rolls and a Starbucks gift card as a promotion. They had me on this one, and I told them to ship the package. They called back today to confirm the address. I confirmed with them, but immediately after hanging up the phone I got suspicious. I googled for the company and found this website with this information. I immediately called back and asked if I was going to be billed for the tape. The representative said "yes". I then told her to cancel. She did not seem very surpised. THANK YOU! I would have probably gotten reamed out over here if I went and blew $500 of company money on clear tape!

ALLSTATE SHIPPING SUPPLIES, SHERMAN OAKS, CA      This company is very deceptive and rude.  They said they would send us a package of 6 rolls of tape and a $5.00 Starbucks as a Promotion.  They then called back for our address. Then we recieved a case of 6 dozen rolls of tape, which we did not order. We tried just to return it to them and they refused the returned package.  I called to get information on how to return this tape.  They took a message and had some girl named Cindy call me back. When I asked how much they were going to invoice us for and she said 499.00, I said we could get tape from our regular Vendor at a much better price.   She said it was "too late" to return the product and that we could not return it.  We received it on 3/8/2011, and we have not received the invoice yet.  Today is 4/6/2011.  The Allstate Shipping Supplies employee " Cindy " said she was going to send this to her Legal Department when I said I had read some negative things on the internet about her company and that I thought is was a scam.

This company is a scam for sure.
Legally just mail a letter, don't waste time on any proof of delivery.
Mention "unsolicited material", deceptive trade practices, refuse to pay, and demand they pick up the material (UPS calltag so it will be collect). Give them 90 days then destroy the material.

I was called for payment on a past due invoice...I asked them to fax me copy..Caller sent invoice that show restocking fee for tape that was ordered  for one of our sites.  I contacted site and no one knew anything about the order...I decided to search further and found this info...Thanks all...

The same thing has happened to my company, although I am in charge of purchasing for my company, but they went around me and went to the head of my shipping and receiving department and he thought they were confirming an order that I had placed with them. When I received the invoice I flipped out I could not believe someone would accept a $495.28 order of tape that is insane! Then after doing some research I have discovered how bad this scam is. I wanted to confirm with you guys the address that they told you to return the package to. The address they gave me is to a public storage in california, and the address that is on the invoice is to a shopping center in california. I want to be sure I send this to the correct place, because I do not feel comfortable with the addresses they have given me.

How do I get rid of the tape that has been delieverd to me? I do not do alot of shipping so I am a little unclear on how this works? The information you have posted has been sooo helpful thank you very much!

you are correct I no longer work for the company I was just doing my job,  They are sneaky is how much they tell the employee.  Like how much they pay for a box of the tape,  I later found out the rediculous mark up and how they go out the original sale as well as a re-order slam it out there sale!  So sorry for your experience.  Please clear my name from all the correspondence I was never responsible for the policies of the company or the collection proceedures, agian I was just following orders and doing my job.

This company tried to scam a new employee, our shipper.  They called here and told him they were sending free tape.  He is just a young kid and said ok.  Now we have an invoice for almost $500 and no one will return our calls.  I don't know how other companies operate but we only purchase through authorized individuals, we request a price quote, and then we issue a company purchase order.

All State Shipping supplies is a a SCAM!!! They told one of our employee's that they were going to send them a catalog, a week latter a case of shipping tape turns up. Then a week latter a invoice for $495 for the tape we never ordered. We called them and they stated they have a 25% restocking fee and will not provide a return address for shipping. We have filed a compliant with the state Attorney General and FTC. Avoid All States Shipping Supplies at all costs!!!
