I have gotten phone calls from this number in the past few days.  Any idea who it is?

It's some kind of education seeking thing.  Like a telemarketing.

Says 'Burbank CA' on caller ID - has called twice - I let phone ring 2 times - answer - give them 5 secs to say something - then I hang-up if no one answers my 'hello' - irritating...

This is some sort of continuing education outfit.

I was called about attending some sort of bogus school, I told them that I was not interested and to not call my number anymore.  Now they call me only to hang up in my face, this tells you what kind of company this is.

I keep getting calles from this number in the middle of the night. who the hell is this pearson?

They call me in the afternoon two days in a row now and hang up.  I don't pick up calls from people I do not know.  I do not want any continuing education.  Many years ago I signed up for the national do not call program and I signed up last week.  It really doesn't do much when telemarketers still call you.  I get calls from other education companies as well.  They have no life if they just keep calling and hanging up and not leaving messages.  They like to disrupt peoples lives even if it's just a phone messaging system they use.

This is a total nuisance phone number and I believe they areconducting illegal business of some type

Called me 3x in 2 days!  Ignoring it now

I wasn't home when my wife got a call from this number.  A female asked to speak to "my first name".  My wife asked who she was AND the female again asked to speak to "my first name"  and again my wife asked her to identify herself and again the *itch asked to speak to "my first name".  My wife said, "No you may not." and hung up.

Have called my celphone twice now (within five minutes) I said hello several times, heard someone breathing and then an automated message came across saying thankyou for calling and hung up on me, when I called the number back I got their general mailbox stating please call back during normal business hours. Some company called Education Verification? VERY annoying I am on the national do not call list, how are these people still getting through?

Number keeps on calling not saying anything

Don't think I want to give my real name after these calls from numbers I don't recognize.  Rings, answer, and they hang up.  Quit answering after the 2nd call.  Now getting calls from two other numbers.  I am on the DNC list so if they are telemarketers something is wrong with the system.

We answer and after a couple seconds we hear DING  GOODBYE.......   I'm not being rude, I'm just fed up with these [***] that ignore the Do Not Call registry which I am on.  If any of these [***] for brains people ever says anything I'll tell him or her to shove the phone up their [***] and see how they can harass people that way.

This number calls me several times a day and I do not answer. Looks like they would get the hint. They're very allowing!

Just got a call from this number.  Why can't we get them to stop?

I too have been receiving these phones calls.  I just filed a complaint with the DNC registry and hope that they resolve this issue ASAP.  The DNC states the following after you have submitted your complaint:

"Do not call complaints will be entered into a secure online database available to civil and criminal law enforcement agencies. While the FTC does not resolve individual consumer problems, your complaint will help the agency investigate the company, and could lead to law enforcement action."
