Called 3 times so far today.

Called saying they were the IRS.  Recording saying Nikki Johnson called and to call back blah blah blah. So I called back. 818-284-6551 some rude idiot with an accent answered. It is a scam. I told them I was turning them in and he called me a [***]. LOL

I just got the same thing today.  He hung up on me when I insisted that he tell me who he was.

I received a message today from the same number, 818-284-6551,  telling me to call back Nikki Johnson.  I did and a very rude man named "Steve Foster" with a heavy accent told me I was going to go to jail in five days for committing several federal crimes against the IRS.  My husband then got on the phone and asked to speak to his supervisor, where he was located, etc... and "Steve" hung up.  We called our local courthouse and police department and they believe it was a scam.  We'll be following up with the police department on Monday.  This is crap.

Pretty much the exact thing happened to me except the case managers name was "Michael Black", the automated "officers" name, Nikki Johnson, was the same.  They had me going for a while.  Said my taxes where wrong from 2011 in Illinois and then after they hung up on me I get a call from a familiar area code in IL saying its the police department and they are following up on a warrant for arrest.  The final tip off was when they told me not to tell the bank attendant that the money was for the IRS.  My husband and I went to the police department instead of the bank and found out about the fraud.  They are not taking reports or phone numbers in connection with the scam.  The Illinois number was: 618-564-8545.

After an automated voice claiming to be the IRS threatened me with legal action I called back. A man answered and said I owed back taxes and and that police were gonna show up at my door. When I asked for his supervisor he shouted curses and I hung up. This same thing happened to my roommate about 6 years ago. Total scam.

I get a phone call as well, their words is really unclear and they said they wants to verify some information, I really doubt them.

I had two voice messages from Nikki Johnson saying I needed to call the IRS before they took any action against me. I figured it was some kind of prank that had a prerecord message telling me how much trouble I was in. I called and the guy answered IRS and I said I had received a call from them and he hung up. I read a few of the responses on here so I called them back and ask if Nikki gave good oral. Then I hung up. I then called back and told them that my Marine squad would be using their building for demolition practice in 5 mins and if they didn't want their [***] to meet Ahla they better get out now.

Got a voice message from that number. Called back and asked for the name of the operator. He said something that I could not understand because of the accent. Asked him to spell his name and eventually he hung up. Total scam.

the same thing here he said i owned money to the irs when I started asking Michael black question hung up....there should be something someone can do????

I too received a message last week from this number.  Threatening action from the IRS.  If there ever doubt it is from the IRS, call them directly.

Same here.  I'm in Arizona.  3 on your side has been reporting on this scam.  The IRS will never call you and threaten jail or arrest.  Total scam.  The message was from Office Nikky Johnson of the IRS with a phone of 284-6551.

I received the very same call earlier today pre recording from Nikki Johnson and when a called back it was an Indian or Aribic man I could barely understand who went into a long disclaimer he read saying I owed back taxes from 2011-2012 $4,680 and if I did not pay they would garnish my wages home bank accounts ect.  when I started questionsing him he said there was no supervisor to talk to and he was giving me a negative rating which meant police would be out to arrest me and put me in jail for 5 days,  he said I needed to make a payment to them to rectify online and it would be through a green dot account... Total scammers  I told them to arrest me then and hung up.  When I called back they answered officer so and so I said officer from what police station, he said from the IRS I told them they are full of crap and hung up.... Amazing!

these people called me and his name was Brandon Bright from 818 284 6551and told me to get a prepaided card green dot account. I called the I R S office and they said they don't call they get a hold of you through mail.
They told me to report them and call 800 366 4484....
When they call report them at the number above....

Just received the same message on my answering machine. I will not be calling Nikki Johnson back.

Just got the call on my home number or landline from this pre recorded Nicky Johnson person.  Did not pick up the call just listen to my voicemail.  My location is the San Francisco Bay Area.  After reading all comments here I simply blocked the call for future calls from these idiocy people!!   Good luck

Nicky Johnson from IRS called on the land line and said to return the call before they take any action against me. Is the real IRS following up on these fraudsters?

Phone call from "IRS" at 6am on Saturday morning.  It was a robocall from North Holloway, CA phone number 818 284-6551 saying the caller was "Officer Niki Johnson from the IRS" and not calling back would result in the IRS "taking action against" me.  I called the number back and "Officer Michael Black" says I owe the IRS money and he asks, "Do you know how much you owe?" I answer yes and he says, "How much do you owe?"  And I say, "You tell me."  This goes on for a minute or two before he starts saying he wants me to "suck my black c***."  He says this numerous times and then he asks, "Are you still there," and I say, "Yes I am - keep talking - you are on a speakerphone."  Then he hangs up.

Same call as others. So... how do you stop them? I've had the same call weekly for about a month. Not that it hurts, but it's annoying to check your phone and see this number.

Duh! block the number. Sorry for the post, and this reply. Really!  :)
