Cerberus - 30 Sep 2007Am on the east coast. Got a call at 7:50 am on Sunday morning. Caller ID said ITSOL. This is a west coast software firm. Call must have been made at 4:50 am. Is some computer geek there looking for early morning phone sex? Give me a break please. It is the weekend.

adaptation - 1 Oct 2007I filled out an online insurance quote and about 2 seconds after I hit the get quote now button I receive a phone call that only last 1 second and then ends... hmmmm... bizarre way of doing business whomever it is.

that number is from quotesauction.com they are getting peoples name, number and some times emails and filling in the rest of the info like address, your car, birthdays with bogus info then sells it all to other insurance companies. i am being harrassed by them now. i have filled a complaint with www.bbb.com i suggest everyone does the same!
also call the quotes place and tell them to stop selling your info. thier number is 800-647-2164

LR - 5 Oct 2007Yes, same thing here in Oregon. Filled out for a homeowners quote but did NOT list my phone number on it. Used the 555-1212 (information number) which it would NOT accept so I just x'd out. But I got the one ringer call, too. Entered this number into google and ended up here.
So, they have some kind of a connection to obtain our phone number. I did not want my number on there as I did not want a ton of agents calling me...they can give a quote online. Period.
Should be able to file a complaint somewhere on this. Invasion of privacy.

SY - 6 Oct 2007Same 818 299-9144 called four times in three hours, first call came in few seconds after pressing quote now, the e-insurance is for health insurance from Texas, I hoped they're watching, I told everyone that called to give quote to check this practice, and will not do business with them, and possible complaint to Department of Insurance.
