- Nancy| 1 replyGot a couple calls from this number, and since I typically don't answer calls from people I don't know, I ignored it. I eventually picked up after a few times, and it ended up just being a group called the IT Brief trying to get me out some information on data storage. They weren't trying to get credit card information or anything else sketchy, so I accepted the info since it's relevant to a current project I'm on.

- Uncle Sammy| 1 replyThis is a phishing scam targeting military installations. Do not give out any information. The above post is flawed.

- NonoSketchy, rude, no I'm not answering questions about IT anything for anyone outside of my company, even if you claim it's just a survey, nasty phishers. For some reason these fools thought they could harass the information out of me. Like that really helps their credibility. LOSERS.

- ShiccyThey made a mistake and called a healthcare facility this time... Hopefully reporting them to the FCC this time will stop this company in its tracks. I had dead air / call disconnected before I answered but without dial tone.

- KarenLike many, I don't answer the phone if I don't recognize the number or company calling. This particular number has called me three (3) times within a 90 minute period. Annoying!
- AcGot a call from a guy who says he works for "Achievers" some awards recognition company. He was asking for an HR Manager. Told him to send me his info and he hung up on me.
- Caller: Achievers

They are calling an educational institution.- Caller: no clue
- ReceptionistDC| 1 replyVery annoying caller... asks to speak to the IT Manager by name... manager prefers unknown caller calls go to his voicemail... she rings back to me by pressing "0" (didn't leave him a voicemail). She asks for him again and I explained to her the situation -- by the way, total call center background -- and inform her that this is not the main number for our company's IT department and that they are located out state. She asks for that info, and I tell her that they probably will not accept the call if it is from a vendor. She jumps in and says she is not a vendor and won't give up on the damn call or hang up. I don't give her the info and transfer her to the IT manager again... anything to get her off my hands! The next time I'll hang up.
- GateKeeper replies to ReceptionistDCDo you have a conference room with a phone? After being psycho called by them (11 times in 20 minutes) I sent them to the "voicemail of doom" in the conference room.
- RichardChinese boiler room, looking for information offering copy of Kaspersky anti-virus. Not sure what their game is, but they have a simple script and stick to it. Just hang up.
- knepperCoworker received this today at 1020 PST. Caller identified himself as Scott Masters from IT Brief who has been contracted by Pure Storage. Needed to talk to his IT Manager to let them know about a "flash" update that is coming -- this is critical. Wouldn't give number as he needed to talk to the manager from a "secure" line. Indicated he would just have to call our director.

- AACalled from IT Brief to offer IT solutions to an IT company. DUH! Guy was super rude, called from a Sun Valley, CA but said he was local to Oregon. Asked for the IT Manager and asked for an employee that no longer works here. Told him I could give him a generic email and make sure it made it to the correct person. Continued to argue with me about my customer service and that the call was being recorded and he was going to let my manager know I was rude and inconsiderate on the phone. Called him a telemarketer and he said he wasn't he was trying to send a business to business email. Interesting that I called back the number and it said "press 9 to be removed from our call list"

- TJust got a call from this CA number at my direct work number. Terrible call quality! She said was from IT Brief and wanted to 'send me an update.' I asked for what and was told an Oracle white paper. She was persistent about updating records on me. They have my current employer, but the title from when I started 9+ yrs ago. I did not comply with updating the title, but slipped a autocorrection to my email (like a dummy!). I hope it is just a white paper on Oracle (that will get hopefully just get filtered as Marketing by Corporate filters).
