Another number being used by Allied Interstate.  They call early in the am and late into the pm and never leave a message.

Called My new Cell Phone..absolutely no one has this number. Called approx 5:20 pm.

call 3 times a day and never leave a message.

they keep calling my cell too.  all that I hear on the other line is classical music.  what the hell?

same, they call 3 or more times a day, usually starting at 7 or 8 in the morning and no one is on the line when i answer.

they are calling my cell phone of 5 years get music hang up they call again next day or two including Weekends they are not authorized to be calling this phone. Who are they and what can I do to get the to stop?

The call came in at 11:30 p.m. and it kept ringing...

At least four calls on my cell.  When I answer while it is ringing, I only hear the classical music (bad sound quality).
I called the number from my home phone which is blocked.  I asked why they are calling me.  She said she needed my phone mumber to find out why.  I am not gong to give them another number from which to bother me!   I guess I'll keep calling them!

finally talked to someone and they said they want to talk to my 19 year old daughter about a cell phone bill as well

I picked up and heard about a minute's worth of recorded classical music, then nothing. What in the world could be the point of that?

Calling twice a day. Once in the morning and once in the afternoon.
Answered it once, all it is a recording of Mozart.  I can do without it thank you.

Calling twice a day for weeks on my landline phone, including Saturdays, early morning and late evenings. I always let it go to my answering machine but hear a distinct hangup from a live person. Don't have caller ID but did *69 and got 818-450-5620.  I plan to file a complaint with the FCC.

yeah same thing here, many calls daily... i never answer any call that doesnt leave a voice mail anyway so im not worried about it, just annoyed. would it be possible for them to be racking up peoples phone bills via incoming calls? or would it make more sense to assume they are phishing for active phones #'s to sell perhaps.

if there was no benefit on their end, what would be the point? even if a computer makes the call they'ed still have to at least pay the bill to run the pc. there has to be some gain in the situation here i just cant figure it out.

I highly suggest that when you get these calls, report them. im goin to my local BBB office in the next few days with the information that ive gathered so far.

As most of you prolly agree, i dont feel like spending much of my time dealing with lame crap like this. i have more important things to do. which is why this will never stop. just take a few minutes. right one letter, make one phone call, report it just once. a group effort may prove useful.

I've been having Allied Interstate show up on my caller ID nearly daily for the past month -- they usually call when I am at work.   A call came this evening,  and I decided to answer.   After the minute or so of classical music,  I got someone asking for my ex-husband.    I told them that I do not know his contact info anymore.  I figure it's a collections agency or something?

they called and when I said hello about 30 times no said anything back. I can hear people shuffling in the back ground then someone hangs up the phone. When I called the number back saying that I just received a call from this number. They asked me for my number and I gave it to them then the guy hangs up. Allied has so many numbers here are a few. Don't let these people harrass you. You have to answer the calls if you don't then I shows that you are avoiding them. When you speak with a rep after they tell you the phone call will be recording/monitored then ask that person if they're ok with you recording the conversation. Most likely they'll say no or hang up but answer their calls. Also check to see whether or not you're in a 1 party or 2 party law for recording state. Some states need you to get permission from the other party to record the conversation. Just to be on the safe side if you're not sure ask them anyway. After I asked a rep that they haven't been calling to speak with me. Just calling and playing a recording. The funny thing about that is you can hear when they click on the recording and then turn it off and hang up.

Even if you owe on a debt DON'T make any payment agreements with a debt collector because you have no contract with them to pay this. Making a payment agreement with them over the phone would be considered a verbal agreement. Let them know that you are going to pay the company that you have a debt with and not them. Be firm in telling them this. Also make payments to the company they will accept them. You only have a contract with the company you owe and not a third party collection agency.
