Received a call at 5pm today. No message.

Got a call from this number around noon. "Northern LA area" per iphone location. Three rings and then they hung up.

Same here. Called at 12:18 ring three times and no message with a Northern LA Area . I am going to put it in my reject list 😒

Sounds as if this is a phishing call - fishing for working numbers.
Called at 1:51pm Saturday.  Have now blocked their number.
DO NOT ANSWER UNKNOWN CALLS - HAVE NO INTERACTION WITH THESE CRIMINALS!
