DJ7 Jul 2007Recording that says " Hi this is Alison" and she's "calling about a carpet cleaning special in my neighborhood" then is says press 8 to be removed from call list or 1 to get the service. 8 doesn't work and if you press 1 and ask a person to remove you they just say "have a nice day" and hang up. But they don't ask your number and I have still been receiving these calls- Same thing here.
Called me three times (twice in one day even after I opted out). The "8" option simply doesn't work. When I spoke the "live" person, she simply hung up on me.
I'm on the "do not call" list. I'll be reporting them. $500 per violation. Join me on link below.

- Beth10 Jul 2007I got a call from this number yesterday on one line and then another on my second line today. I didn't answer either one because the number itself just looked fake. They hung up on both voicemails. How are you supposed to stop them if the number routed doesn't even connect to their business? I am on all the DNC lists and still get these stupid calls.
- gsteve10 Jul 2007I also got a second call from this number about a carpet cleaning service in my area. It's the same voice and recording that I used to get from 213-221-1021. She calls herself "Allison". I no longer answer calls from the 213 number and they never leave a message, but now they are using an 818 phone number. Don't answer that call and report it to the FCC for all that will do since I reported the 213 number.

- I received a call on both phones today from this number. Two weeks ago I got the SAME RECORDING from another number that WAS A VALID number and the girl's name who answered when I called back WAS Allison. I told her I would be reporting her..she tried to say that even though yes her name was Allison and yes that was her phone number that she was not making the calls..the voice was exactly the same. So it seems "they" have found a way to display fake numbers. Even more of a crime.
The original number/call 310-832-8366. Feel free to call it and ask for Allison and if successful, see if you think the voice matches the call you got from THIS number.
This after four weeks of almost daily calls from that "survey" company Western Watts. They have used all sorts of different numbers and the last few times when they called here I answered and either SCREAMED AT THEM to tell them to stop this or I will file harrassment charges OR played an extremely loud piercing noise into the phone (hee hee).- Lady , You are arrogant and you better take my phone number off here before I have my lawyer file a case against you. This company is a scam operation and they might not even be carpet cleaners, they are scamming the public for something but we do not know what. You need to call the FTC give them my case number below and then when you find out from the FTC these dogshit people are using my phone number to mask their own...come back and delete this post. I will post instructions for others on what they need to do again.
HERE'S WHAT YOU PEOPLE NEED TO DO:
I have a case filed with the FTC. Everyone needs to call the FTC and file their own report and LINK it to my case. Give the FTC my case number. The FTC told me they will NOT investigate unless there are a bunch of complaints all linked together.
Since none of us know whos doing this , there is no way to link all our complaints unless you give them my case number. Your story you tell the FTC will be similar to what I have told the FTC.
I pissed these people off so that is why they are using my phone number to mask their phone number. Addtionally, you read all over these posts how they are using other different numbers to mask their real phone number on your caller id...one of the other numbers they use often is the number for directory assistance. There is computer software available which allows them to do this (ask the FTC, they know about the software but phone company reps do not always know about this software.)
Call the FTC and go through the prompts to make a report. A live person will come on the line rather quickly after you get through the prompts. Give them your complaint AND tell them to LINK your report to my case. This is critical to get the FTC to move on these people. The FTC phone is (877) 382-4357 and my case # 109 823 33
