Recording that says " Hi this is Alison" and she's "calling about a carpet cleaning special in my neighborhood" then is says press 8 to be removed from call list or 1 to get the service. 8 doesn't work and if you press 1 and ask a person to remove you they just say "have a nice day" and hang up.  But they don't ask your number and I have still been receiving these calls

818-555-1000 connects you to directory assistance.  

It seems this company is not only violating do-not-call laws, but is fraudulently faking the number that shows up on caller ID.

When I see this number I just leave my fax on and let it deal with them. How they get away with the DNC is beyond me.

I just received a call also.  I did not listen long enough to hear the entire message.

I got a call from this number yesterday on one line and then another on my second line today.  I didn't answer either one because the number itself just looked fake.  They hung up on both voicemails.  How are you supposed to stop them if the number routed doesn't even connect to their business?  I am on all the DNC lists and still get these stupid calls.

I also got a second call from this number about a carpet cleaning service in my area. It's the same voice and recording that I used to get from 213-221-1021. She calls herself "Allison". I no longer answer calls from the 213 number and they never leave a message, but now they are using an 818 phone number. Don't answer that call and report it to the FCC for all that will do since I reported the 213 number.

I have 2 phone lines at home and both rang at the same time.  I picked one up with a carpet cleaning service recording and the other one with the 818-555-1000 number with Unknown Name on the caller ID.  I'm also on the DNC list.

Call came in without any identifying information. Did not leave a message.  When I tried to call the #, there was a error message saying, "your call can not be completed as dialed."

Same experience as above. Received Call at 4:50 pm pdt on phone on DNC list. Recording said "Hi this is Alison" and offered carpet cleaning service. When I hung up and then checked the line 5 seconds later, call was still in progress.

I received a call from this number at 5:14 Pm yesterday.  I  heard "Alison" and hung up.  I looked at my caller ID this morning and saw this number.  I Googled the number and found this site.  I am on the DNC list and I will contact the FCC.

Got a call from this # today at 11:15 AM.  Just pickud up the receiver and hung up.

I received a call on both phones today from this number.  Two weeks ago I got the SAME RECORDING from another number that WAS A VALID number and the girl's name who answered when I called back WAS Allison. I told her I would be reporting her..she tried to say that even though yes her name was Allison and yes that was her phone number that she was not making the calls..the voice was exactly the same. So it seems "they" have found a way to display fake numbers.  Even more of a crime.

The original number/call 310-832-8366. Feel free to call it and ask for Allison and if successful, see if you think the voice matches the call you got from THIS number.

This after four weeks of almost daily calls from that "survey" company Western Watts.  They have used all sorts of different numbers and the last few times when they called here I answered and either SCREAMED AT THEM to tell them to stop this or I will file harrassment charges OR played an extremely loud piercing noise into the phone (hee hee).

I've gotten this call periodically for months.  Why hasn't the FCC busted them yet?

Carpet cleaning offer that violates DNC list.

Just received a call from 818-555-1212 and attempted to follow the process through to find out exactly who these morons are and where they do business. After asking the girl how much the fee was, I asked if there was a number where I call back because I needed to check around first. She hung up. Next time I'm just going to schedule an appointment and just not answer the door. Hopefully they leave information on where and how to contact them, which I'll use to sue for my $500 allowed with the DNC list.

Exactly the same story as above.  I'm on the DNC list.  This makes the fourth time "Allison" has called.  I keep reporting them on the Federal Do Not Call site, but can't see that it is doing any good.  I've tried the "talk to them; ask them their company name and references for cleaning; get "hung up" on as soon as I ask a question.

Got a call on my cell. Outrageous so many complaints here, imagine all those who do not complain!! Yes, it's illegal and the wheels of the FCC move slowly so keep filing complaints.

Do NOT schedule an appt with these people and try to bust them that way. They are a referral service who mass market all over the place and then SELL the leads to carpet cleaners. Locksmiths, plumbers, dentists, etc, all work that way these days. But you may have to scam one to get them to come out and then tell who is selling these leads.

I just came across this 800notes page when I googled (818) 555-1000, which came up on my cell phone's caller ID, though I elected not to answer.  Man, am I bummed.  I'm job hunting and thought this was a potential employer.  :(

I just sent the call to my voicemail, they didn't leave any message.....
