I think she said "First Nationwide." She was rudely general when I asked her why she wanted to speak to my husband. I said,"More specifically..." She replied,"Is he not available?" And I repeated myself. She then said,"OK well we will try to reach him another time. Thanks." So I said,"and another way." I'm a bit riled up at how she spoke after calling MY cell phone.
UGH! I just called the number back and it sent me directly to 411... directory assistance. Now I will get charged for that and have to call alltel and tell them what happened. This is so stupid and I can't wait for this number to call me back now.
I started getting calls from 916-555-1212. Now it's apparently morphed into 818-555-1212. It's gotta be a scam to get your phone number so they can use it to call who-knows-where! Don't answer!!!
i got several calls from both numbers. today i spoke to a person from First National XXXXX (didn't get the rest of the name). It was a marketing call. Told them to stop and not to call again. Will see.
I got a call from this number, it was 916-555-1212 at first also... and then changed to 818-555-1212. They called and got no answer about 5 times in the last two days (showed up in my missed calls), I finally answered this morning and it was somebody stating they were wanting to help me consolodate my credit/debt... I informed them I was on the "do not call list" and they hung up.
Me too. I got a call from this number, it was 916-555-1212 at first also... and then changed to 818-555-1212. They called and when I answered they hung up. This happened twice. Today it was somebody stating they were wanting to help me consolodate my unsecured debt... I informed them I had no unsecured debt. She politly thabnked me for my time and hung up.
The company claims to be First Nationwide Debt and claimed AT&T allowed them to use the 818.555.1212 - which is AT&T information number (411) for the 818 area code in So. Cal. The calls came on our cell phone. AT&T cellular said AT&T LAN-line gives out the caller ID phone numbers and they couldn't do anything. When we spoke to a live person at First Nationwide, they said they work for Advantage Debt Solutions.
I receive a call this morning from 818-555-1212. The guy told me about debt consolidation. I asked him where he got my number from, and he said some list that was given to him. I proceeded to tell him I was on the "do not call list" and I will be reporting him to the FTC. He said, "So you're upset about a phone call instead of trying to consolidate your debt?" Well things got heated, and I finally hung up. But the idiot then called me back and 1st Nationwide and their REAL phone number, 805-413-1400, showed up on my caller ID. He said, "guess who?" Again, we got into it. I called back the number during their true office hours and spoke to a manager there. She said she woul remove my phone number from their list. I said, "too late, I'm reporting you to the FTC and I hope they fine you $11,000." You guys should file a complaint as well, now that you have their real number.
