Getting daily calls from this number asking me if I'm interested in a job. Person has a heavy accent and says she saw my resume online. Anyone know what this is about?

It's Banker's Life, an insurance company, they sound super sketchy. She saw my resume as well.

I received a voicemail today too saying she saw my resume online. Not really looking to work for a company that doesn't even identify itself when they leave a message, sketchy!

I received a message from this number today stating that the company has a job opportunity for me in N. Hollywood.  The woman did not identify the company and was hard to understand.  She said that she saw my resume on line as well. NO, THANK YOU.....

I filed a resume w/EDD the day prior, and got call today from a "bankers life" saying they want to hire me. This is completely unrelated to the type of work I do. I asked what's the job? Answer from the caller who didn't speak english well said "Sorry supervisor didn't tell me that." (Really your conducting a phone interview and you don't know what position your hiring for?) I asked: Where are you located? answer "No Hollywood". I just told them they had the wrong #
I think was a rip off scam - they were hoping to get my personal info.
When filling out forms on EDD job search resume section - make sure you don't allow the resume you upload to be viewable online - or scammers will use it to lift your personal info (who knows how that gets used) then they contact you and try to get more out of you.
This is the second call today from the same scam. Other number was 626 910 5068. This lady had an indian accent - the last had east asian and said she was calling form Pasadena.

I just had the same experience as the other commenters. I couldn't understand what company she was calling from. Just "our North Hollywood office." I asked her name and I think she said "Wima."  She asked if I have managerial experience. Sounded like she was reading from a script. I said I needed to call her back from a better line because I couldn't understand her.  Then of course I googled the number and found everyone calling it a scam.

Its Aflac insurance company who call you to set up for interview at Canoga or Burbank..

I got a call from 818 602-4872 (extension 202) from a man describing himself as the "personal assistant to the vice president" for a company in Northridge.   The vice president saw my resume on line, and wants to bring me in for an interview.   He also mentioned that the call is being recorded, and wanted to ask me some questions.

Every time I asked him for his name, and the company name, the call got garbled.   He spelled his name for me, and even that was garbled.   When I returned the call, I got generic voice mail, saying it was extension 202.

If it is a genuine job offer in my field, I am interested.   If it is a cattle call for sales weasels, I am not interested.  Selling is not  part of my aptitude.

Received voicemail Thursday 6/18, accented female, purposeful garbling on key info (like name and company...something "group")...all that was clear was Job's List, offer a position and Woodland Hills...nothing about North Hollywood, so guess they moved on from there. Sounds like a total call scam since they didn't even leave their telephone number

Received a voicemail from this number. No name of company just ask if I was still looking for work to call this number for ext. 609 it was a woman and she said her name was "sheena" I did place my resume viewable to everyone on monster.com the day before. I was about to call but decided to google the number! Glad I did. BE AWARE!!

Got a voicemail from this number. Have a job for me in some life insurance company. lol, get the hell outta here man. Not interested , SCAM SCAM SCAM

I asked for their location and she would not give it to me. She then said she would send it to my email but I have yet to receive one. Call from a girl named Joana at 6269105068

I got a message in my phone number from that number, but the ext. was 549 today
Stephani was the lady that left the message. She said that if was looking for a job call them.
Also, she said that they saw my resume online.
I am not going to return the phone call because she did not identify the company.

Worked in Insurance for eight very well paid years.  Don't do it.  They want sales people on commission.  You eat what you kill.

Of course if you're a born salesman who loves money and has no ethics, then this is the job for you and you should go for it.

I was called because I left my resume for viewing on careers.com. I was going to go but I was puzzled about the vague way she answered my questions. I never applied for the job but someone viewed my resume on -line and called. Thank you for the information, I just cancelled my interview and told the company what I discovered about it.

I WAS CONTACTED BY THIS COMPANY ON FRIDAY AUGUST 7TH 2015. The set up an interview with me stating they viewed my resume on-line. I applied at careers.com and left my resume for others to view. I was suspicious when the woman could not tell me what the job was for. I had to look up the name Saeid Khadivian and then the company Bankers Life Casualty showed. Thanks for the information. I was able to tell this person I want to cancel the interview set up for Tuesday 11, 2015. I also told them what I discovered, that the company has bad reviews so for them to cancel me.

Yup...just got a call from these folks @ Bankers Life too. This time from a Meredith.  She gave all the proper contact info and even her extension...but I didnt call back.  I'm not interested in insurance sales.  And...funny... but like the rest of the posters here....my call was garbled and staticy too.  Why do they do that?

Got a call from some company (Banker's Life?) in Northridge, CA. Could NOT understand what the name of the company was, but the woman (Jessa) had my full name and phone number and knew I was looking for work. I'm not going to call back now that I know it's not legit. I'm no good at sales anyway. The number she told me to call back was indeed 818-602-4872 ext 620, but the number she called me from was 818-717-1000, which my caller ID says is "Child Care Resource Center" in Chatsworth. Strange.

Got a call at 4:56. I don't answer unfamiliar numbers and there was no voice mail left.

Thank you guys, I had a message from 818.602.4872. Since she didn't mention the company name, I was suspicious. I am glad I looked it up!
