these ppl call me and my work phone i dont know who these ppl are they say they are some type of investagation bearu  and they ask for my name i didnt give them my name because i dont know who they are and they hung up in my face and then when i tried calling back just to really figure out who they are the send me  to voicemail and hang up in my face ????? wtf they must dont want nothing if they cant tell me who they are and what they do and the name of there company

I received a call from this number today as well. They told me it was Criminal Investigation Unit and that I had three criminal complaints against me. My sister told me it was a payday advance company and that they try to get you to say "Oh ok, what can I pay to resolve this matter?" then they get your bank acct information and take tons of money out. I also looked up the number and it was out of Glendale California. I asked the guy what company sent me to collections and he said "you were told to not interrupt me mam. You can deal with the Toledo police now" whatever. These people are lame, desperate and stupid.

I also got a call from them he said I have a criminal charges against me and I am concern because this has to stop. who can investigate this?

I also received a phone call from these sons of [***] claiming that they were sending Raleigh PD to my doorstep and my FORMER employer. They didn't even have current details on me so I called RPD because I'm going to do something about this scam.

Mine is the same story except that they actually got me to confirm my ss#, email address and employer. What finally clued me that something was up was when he hung up on me after I tried to find out what EFT transfers I had made since I knew I hadn't made any!

Sounds like I have a problem.  Anybody got any advice as to what measure I can take to protect myself?

I keep getting calls from an angry Indian man. First he asked me if I was financially stable...then he later called and told me that I was under investigation and could be in big trouble.  I asked for his supervisors name and number.  He told me it was Leo Fernandez and gave me this number.  It says the voicemail is full and there is no other way to get through.

Same story here, but my credit is frozen and funds can not be taken from my bank accounts unless I go into the bank.

The guy said I have lawsuits against me.

Is there anything that can be done about this?

Report these guys to the FBI!  They are scam artists and they have your personal info!

I reported them this morning and have contacted my local authorites and closed my accounts.

I have received messages before from these groups, so I change my phone number, guess what? they found me again, with the same info.  Be careful about filling applications on line for employment, that where they get your info,  I have fun with them for a while, then when I heard them, I just hang up on them.  Employers need to stop asking about your credit rating, what does your credit rating have to do with you looking for a job?  If I didn't need a job, my credit rating would be great cause I would have a job?

I received a vm from some1 named john rikai and he said I needed 2 contact them immediately in reference 2 a financial issue. I have 3 complaints filed against me and it was a time sensitive issue. He left a ph# but when I called back at 1st it said vm full I continued 2 call and finally a male answered and when I asked what type of company it was he said financial investigations bureau and hung up when I continued 2 call he never would answer or answer and hang up!

They have called my cellphone and job - not sure where they're getting this information from. First they said I owe a $100 payday loan interest fee from 2 years ago(which I don't). I asked for them to send proof of a loan and they couldn't.

Then they left a message at my job saying Officer Michael Rivera wanted to chat with me about a lawsuit that is being filed including 3 criminal complaints. I dont' have a lawsuit against me and have never been to California. The number they're calling from is 818.638.7271.

I just had the same phone call, they are calling me at work and on my cell phone.  I have an email into the FBI

They called me as well and I didn't like it one bioit but i also closed my accts and changed my cell phone number. They told me the same thing about I was being investigated and they have my personal information too. I reported them to the FBI online.
