indian people pretrending to be american. they will call you & harass you all day long. they dont give you a company name. this indian said his name was ALEX WILLIAMS.

I also have been receiving calls from this number.
A lady named Watson harassing me stating if I do not call back she wishes me the best of luck!!

Do not want these foreigners calling me anymore and harrassing me at work. They can kiss my ass! I called them back and told them to NOT call me anymore- but again they have called, and its bad enough they can hardly speak ENGLISH.

I have also received calls from this number. He is obviously not American & claims his name to be Eric Williams with the Cyber-Crime-Unit Law Firm located at 135 Salt st., Glendale CA. They have called me @ work several times. I have contacted the Local BBB and they have advised me to send a letter regarding all rules & regulations of the FDCPA (Fair-Debt-Collection-Practice-Act) & if they are violated serious federal repercussions await them. Once the letter has been received and further collection attempts continue State/Federal Law will move forward with criminal charges.

What practices are off limits for debt collectors?

Harassment. Debt collectors may not harass, oppress, or abuse you or any third parties they contact. For example, they may not:

   use threats of violence or harm;
   publish a list of names of people who refuse to pay their debts (but they can give this information to the credit reporting companies);
   use obscene or profane language; or
   repeatedly use the phone to annoy someone.

False statements. Debt collectors may not lie when they are trying to collect a debt. For example, they may not:

   falsely claim that they are attorneys or government representatives;
   falsely claim that you have committed a crime;
   falsely represent that they operate or work for a credit reporting company;
   misrepresent the amount you owe;
   indicate that papers they send you are legal forms if they aren’t; or
   indicate that papers they send to you aren’t legal forms if they are.

Debt collectors also are prohibited from saying that:

   you will be arrested if you don’t pay your debt;
   they’ll seize, garnish, attach, or sell your property or wages unless they are permitted by law to take the action and intend to do so; or
   legal action will be taken against you, if doing so would be illegal or if they don’t intend to take the action.

Debt collectors may not:

   give false credit information about you to anyone, including a credit reporting company;
   send you anything that looks like an official document from a court or government agency if it isn’t; or
   use a false company name.

Unfair practices. Debt collectors may not engage in unfair practices when they try to collect a debt. For example, they may not:

   try to collect any interest, fee, or other charge on top of the amount you owe unless the contract that created your debt – or your state law – allows the charge;
   deposit a post-dated check early;
   take or threaten to take your property unless it can be done legally; or
   contact you by postcard.

I too have been called and harrassed by them stating that I need to call and talk to an Oliver Sterling but when I call I get an answering service to leave a message, I've recieved these calls in the past and actually paid a bill but got curious when they called claiming to be a whole new/different company. Once you pay they call and act like different people to get more money out of you. I have bank records to prove I paid. Im tired of being harrassed by these guys, How can I get them to stop???

I received a call from this number, I ask them how much I owe and where to send the money, the man said, American Cash Net,  $845,  5th Ave Deltona Fl, I ask him to spell Daytona , he said D-E-L-T-O-N-A, I said ok then I will send you a money order in the morning, He then said hold on we don't accept checks, He said go get a prepaid card and call us back, then he said I want you to talk to finance, a indian women answer Halooer hoo aun I streeting chew. I told her to take my name off your list of people you try to scam before I come there and lock you up and take your whole family to jail for a long time I said this call is being monitored and trace and I asked her to stay on the line for 5 more minuntes but she hung up and I lost the call.

I just got off the phone with an Indian guy that claimed to be from a legal office.  He claimed to be Roy Taylor but he was definately Indian.  I couldn't understand a fu********  word he said.  when I asked for all his information he would only give me a number for Instant Cash and when I said no I want your information, not theirs, he hung up on me.

I just got a voicemail on my work line from some indian man named Roy Taylor. He said I better call him back due to a legal claim. And if not he wishes me al the best of luck. I know how debt collectors act, and they would never leave a voicemail like this. I've had someone else call my work like this harrassing me, and I told them to stop calling, and they would keep calling, real debt collectors know better and would get sued for this.

I just received a phone call from them just not, they tried to get my info from me by asking me my soc and banking number. they were close but wrong, so i told them they were way off, and why are they playing games. I cursed the dude out, and talked about how he couldn't speak English very well and he need to try someone else, and take me off his list the stupid [***]. then I got under his skin, and he proceeded to curse at me, he finally hung up, after i won the shouting match and threating his life, it was perfect, i wish i had recorded it, classic situation.

I have had this indian guy call me all day long.  He said that I owe them 5k and if I do not pay them now the cops will be there to arrest me and take my kids away.  He has also called me at work.  He refuses to tell me why I owe the money,  Total fraud, thinking of contacting the cops.

I am a teacher on summer vacation...I just received a call from my school bookkeeper who wanted to let me know she had gotten a call (all blocked on the caller ID as 0000000000) from an "attorney" looking for me. They gave her this 818-659-5713 number to have me return their call. When she asked them the name of their firm they would not say...then said they were from the fiber crimes unit! People like this should be stopped! I do not answer my home phone due to these harrassing calls, and now they are calling my job! If I had not been working at my job for 10+ years I would have had my school thinking I am in some kind of serious trouble and I work around children! I have made reports to FTC, BBB and everything, but calls continue!

They called today and said if i dont call back or have an attorney call back they wish me the best of luck.  Since this is the second go around with the foreign idiots i am ignorning them.  Everyone else should to.  They are FRAUD.  No one owes them money.  If you did owe the money they have to provide you proof.  DO NOT SEND THEM MONEY!

I just got a call from them and the number they called me from when i called it back said it was not in service. then i tried to call the number they gave me and some indian man said his name was mark green. yeah ok but you are no where near american. they told me i owe for a payday loan that was deposited into my checking account. i told them i never got anything and that if i do owe then send me verification. he started to get loud with me and i told him to calm his lil a** down and he got mad and told me he will see me in court. well i feel like this i do have a lot of debt but these people i know i dont owe so they can kick rocks and kiss my a**. HOW DO I GET THEM TO STOP CALLING.1

818-649-6017  This is the number that called my job today. the guy left a message and said he was Chris williams.  This same guy left a message on my phone.

I got a call, for the second time today. A gentlemen who did not speak very clearly told me or my lawyer to call. That he was from the Cyber Crime Dept. At first I was very afraid. he said they would come to my job and arrest me, he knew where I worked and the last 4 of my social security #. How did he know that?

I am glad I looked the number up before trying to call.  I do believe it is a scam. He called from 818- 649-6017.  This shouldn't be allowed.

Got this call today to!  Its a buch of crap, I told him send me this in the mail he said he couldnt do that, I said you have to by law.. He HUNG UP!  Stupid idiots!!! I can't stand this, its happened to me before.  They call me at work, but I have warned everyone at work about these idiots..    We should all just call them 24/7 and harrass them!
