- Thia| 3 repliesLoud, call center noises, delayed response when saying hello, and, at the moment, can't figure out they're on hold and have been for 3+ minutes, lol.
Maybe same/similar to https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-818-665-3258 ? - Thia replies to Thia| 2 repliesAnd, just for fun, I picked up the line off hold, and an actual person was still there, lol.
As of today, they've been calling at least twice a day for the last week. Unable to block them via work phone, sadly, so will have to content myself with placing them on hold and seeing how long they wait. - workerthey call they number for my direct line at work.... how the heck did they get this number? I don't answer, no message.
- Thia replies to ThiaDecided to play today; they're looking for our "IT Dept." #Nope
- DebReceived another call from this number today. IT Brief has been calling our company several times over the past week. They've got a couple of numbers...last week they also called from 818-351-3527. They asked for an employee who hasn't worked at our company for over two years and then asked for the IT Manager. When told the manager was not available but I would be happy to take a message, they hung up on me.

- Skola P.Called but when I answered I didn't hear anyone and then after a delay a woman said "Hello". Well, it was a little too late. I just hung up on her. Glad I did.
- Candice A.I answered and heard a lot of background noise. Then a man with a heavy accent asked for Mark Anderson. We have no one by that name. After letting him know this, he asked to be connected to someone in IT. No, again. We don't put through calls of this type. He continued to ask for something but I just hung up.
- Resatta LindsayLady called asking for a guy that works here but wanted the IT Department. I did let her know that this person works here but is not in the IT Department. She then asked to speak to someone in our IT Department at which point I would not transfer the call blindly. Had to hang up since they wouldn't shut up.
- HateSpamCallersA recording of what sounded like the caller banging their head against a metal box as they wished they would get a new job or be shot while making these useless calls for some scumbags.
- Caller: TurdWorld Callers
- ReceptionistCalled asking for someone who's never worked here, then called later asking for someone who works in a department that has NOTHING to do with IT, then called AGAIN asking to speak to someone who hasn't worked here for 2 years. Obviously pulling names from LinkedIn and not bothering to check what year/department they work in.
- Caller: IT Brief
- Call type: Telemarketer
- MTRAsked for me by name. Wanted to set up an appointment to discuss IT options. Informed them that I was not IT, never worked in IT, have nothing to do with IT whatsoever. Then asked her "why when I Google your number, I'm getting all these sites saying how you're a scammer?" Their response was "uhhh, uhhh, uhhh". Told them if they ever called our company again that I would report them to the FCC. They hung up quick. Oh caller ID said they were calling from Agoura Hills, California.
- ClangClangClangEvery week I get a call from this number and they leave a very long message, I can hear some background talking but also loud clanging sounds, like they are all walking up a long flight of stairs, every week. This week I could hear more talking but it is not a language I can understand. I think the phone rep on the other end must like the fact that they can sit on my VM for a long time and not make any other calls.
- Annoyedbythem"Information Technologies brief" per this guy who called in... Said he was referred to me by our IT manager... who i asked about while the phone call was taking place... Stated they received an email from us i asked who it was from.. Gentleman laughed and kept repeating sir... sir.. Sales call for technology stuff i suppose.. But, lied right off the bat, so i ended the call.
- Caller: info tech brief (maybe)
- GateKeeper"When in doubt, just make sh*t up" must be their motto.
"I'm looking for John"
"Which John?"
"The one in IT." (There is no John in IT)
"Do you have a last name?"
"Winter."
"There is no one here with that name."
"I mean White"
"Sorry."
"Smith?"
"Seriously? Do you KNOW who you need? I have things to do."- Call type: Telemarketer
- RecSome guy with a heavy indian accent wanted someone who doesn't work here....or else I just couldn't understand him...but whatever, didn't care. Then asked for the IT manager. Asked who was calling and he said "Morgan." I asked what company this was and he said IT Brief...I think...again heavy accent. I put him on mute and just listened. There was clanking noise in the background and occasional voices I couldn't make out. Don't think I need him to call again...but he probably will.
- Caller: IT Brief
- JayJust received a call from "Kyle" at IT Brief. Same situation as other reports... sounded like a call center in the background, took a while for Kyle to realize I had answered. He wanted to confirm information about me (email address, etc) and I simply said I wasn't interested and hung up. Social engineers strike again.
- Caller: IT Brief
- NAThis number calls repeatedly, like all the others, asking for someone nonexistent in IT. Hanging up on them is the only way to get rid of the call.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- JBI just got the same call. I think Jay is right; Social Engineering.
- Caller: IT Brief (false?)
- GateKeeper| 1 replyUgh. It's irritating that they call every day, but it's MORE irritating that they argue with me when I tell them the person they want isn't here, and I CANNOT transfer them without a name.
They claim to have a VERY important message for the guy who (according to our records) has never worked here, but won't take an e-mail address.- Call type: Telemarketer
- MNThis number calls our office 39 times per week asking for the IT Manager.
We can't get them to stop.- Caller: Spammer
