Starting today at 0715, a man with a thick Indian accent, identifying himself as Erick Scott, a United Processing Legal technician with the US Investigation Bureau, started calling my workplace, telling me that I was under investigation for check fraud -- charges filed against my SSN -- which he downloaded. He told me in order to stop the investigation, I would need to send $1100 via MoneyGram. I told him that I have received other phone calls from his department, and that I had reported them to the FDCP, the FBI, the Secret Service, and the State attorney, and that HE was under investigation, and told him not to call again. He did, telling me, "You better listen to me, you stupid b***h." I hung up. He called several more times, and even had the nerve to ask for my manager's name, and when they would be in. He called her, and told her that she better make me listen, or he would have the cops come and put me in handcuffs and take me to jail. She told him that he should do what he needed to do as far as having me arrested, and that he needed to call me at home, that it was illegal for him to call my work, and that further calls from this company would be terminated immediately.

This is the same number that has been calling my job a couple of times a day.  When they ask for me, I just tell them I'm not here and they also leave messages with my coworker saying that he's an officer calling me on a legal matter.  I know it's illegal for these people to harass you at work, so any suggestions on how to get them for calling would be great.  I have even thought about telling them I no longer work here.

I received a call from 818-688-7215 at 8am this morning at my place of work. It was a thick Indian accented man that would not speak slow enough for me to catch his name. He said that the call was being heard at the court house. When I asked which one, he said Iowa.  I asked which county and he would not answer, just changed the subject.  Stated he was from US Natl Bank and that I had 3 different items against me. Something with a Federal Bank, check fraud and I did not catch the third. First it was for a $10,000 loan.  They gave me a case number and said I took a loan online back in 2005 that was an electronic funds transfer to a bank that I have never banked at.  When I asked again, what county courthouse, he transferred me to his "supervisor" (a woman named Michelle Davis) which also had a thick Indian accent.  She started yelling at me and would not let me ask questions. After she stopped talking, I asked her what it was about and she started repeating the info again.  I finally got in to tell her she was repeating herself and that I just wanted some simple information. I also told her there is no reason to be so huffy and to calm down so I could understand her. I simply asked what it was for and for how much.  This is when it changed to a Pay Day Loan. If I did not give them an answer as to whether I wanted to resolve this or not they were going to "download" my SS# which would "red flag" it and the Attorney General of Iowa would be getting it. Then their United Legal Investigation Team would be at my place of business to "deal" with me. I still tried to get information as to how much they were trying to get from me and she got irate again yelling at me that I was in violation of Federal laws, etc. I hung up. She called back and wanted our Human Resources Dept.  She told them that I took out a loan in the name of the company I work for and that they should make me call back and listen to them or they would be sending someone to the business and it would be embarrassing.  This time is when I got the phone number to call back.  I called back, got the same Michelle Davis, asked for a supervisor, they hung up. I called back again, again, again, each time they hung up. I will be calling the SS Office and Atty Gen tdy to report them. I also got the names of the United Legal Investigation Team and will be calling the police dept. to let them know what names they are using. Sgt Wilkinson and Sgt. Adam Williams.

This is a follow up to previous "complaint". I called the police dept. and there are no such names.

Update on previous entry - The bank they say I have an account at only exists in 2 small towns that are not near my home or office.  They also mentioned money laundering. LOL

I know this is a scam and I know I have not taken out a loan. The thing that scares me is that they have my SS#.  I've pulled my credit bureau reports from all 3 bureaus, alerted the Attorney General, alerted the police, my work has had their number blocked and my SS# is red flagged.  If anyone decides to take action against this company (if it exists) let me know, I'm in!

Caller state his name was Joseph Newman, has an accent and I really couldn't understand what he was saying. It has something to do with legal affadavit. He wanted me to verify my ss#, but I wouldn't do. Told him he was calling on my job and this was not allowed, asked for my home number and cell number, did not give it out.

I received a call at my place of work on JUne 27th, around 10:30 a.m. from a man with such an accent that I could barely understand what he was saying. I stated to him that I was not allowed to receive personal phone calls and he instructed me that I had several outstanding debts in his office and that legal action was about to be taken. I then hung up the phone. Well, he called right back and I pretended to someone else nad took his name and number. He said his name was Officer something, I didnt understand what he said and asked him to spell it for me but he didnt. He just gave me the phone number and told me to make sure Nancy knows this message was urgent and that I needed to return his call asap.

got a call from mathew hall from pakistan or india saaying for me to call him back. i did and then i told him to stop calling me and harrassing me.
He then called me back and pinged it off of a local phone and then harrassed me some more. the local # was 336-790-0166 on caller ID but it is now disconected.
Creepy.

Some man has been calling my work number with a indian accent.  Has has called several times.  He has even spoke with my supervisor.  The last call
he stated that I owed him $1900.00 for 2 checks.  I asked who the checks were made out, he would not give me the info.  I asked where they were
located he said in California, I asked what the address was he stated I did
not need the address.  I asked fr the phone #, he gave me the 818-688-7215. I advised I would have my attorney call him.   I called back to make sure this was a good number.  An Indian man answered the phone.  I asked what company was this and he wanted to know my name.  I stated what is the name of your company per the indian "bastard don't call @ this # get lost".

Ok. here we go - I am receiving the same calls - this week from this number last week from another: same story; handcuffs, police, yada, yada, yada - I received a call from the FBI yesterday because I filed a compliant and he sid for me to go to www. ic3.gov and file one there as well.

This is the second time I have received a call from this guy who is saying the same exact things. That I have debts outstanding,my employer wil be liable, yad,yada, yada. I want to know how caN YOU STOP THIS CREAP FROM CALLING YOUR PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT.

These are the same people calling me. I was called at work by a local number (713-568-4627). I did not recognize the number so I didn't answer. The number then popped up 2 more times within 5 minutes. I saw that I had a voicemail message, and when I checked it it was someone named "Officer" Shawn Williams stating that he was calling from United Legal Investigative Department and that he needed to speak with me or he was going to contact my manager at work regarding a debt that was owed. Keep in mind he was saying this on my recorded voicemail, which I am sure is a violation of the FDCPA. Before I could even finish listening to the message, they were calling me back again. I picked up the phone, the man asked who he was speaking with and when I identified myself, he started rattling off my social security number and then asked me to verify. I told him that I would speak to him, but I was at work and he needed to call me at a different number (I gave him my cell phone number) and told him it would have to be after 5pm CST. He hung up the phone, then called right back and told me that he wanted to speak to me now, not at my convenience, and I needed to get this cleared up before noon today or he would send the police to my place of business to arrest me. He said that we were speaking on a recorded line that was connected to the courts. I asked him which court, he refused to tell me and kept threatening that I need to worry about paying this debt and not worry about which court it was. I asked him for the name of the original creditor, he would not tell me. He told me that I could "settle out of court" for $1,094, I asked him to give me a fax number or mailing address so that I could put all of this in writing, he refused to do so. I did a reverse number look up and found an address for United Legal Investigative Dept in Kansas  City, MO, I asked if this was correct, and he said "NO we are based in California", although the number he was calling me from has a Houston area code. When I continued to ask for a fax number, he put me on hold to find a "senior officer". After being on hold for several minutes I finally hung up, they called me right back and this "senior officer" (Mr. Parker) was just as belligerent as the first and refused to give me any means to contact them in writing. He basically told me that he didn't care if I told them not to contact me until after 5 pm, and that I needed to take care of this. He said there are 3 outstanding federal charges against me and he named them. I told them I would no longer speak with them by phone if they could not provide me with a means to contact them in writing, since they were badgering & threatening me at my place of employment. Then they hung up on me.

They just called me back 4 more times. When I answered, and told them AGAIN that this was an inconvenient time/place to discuss this & to call me at the number and time that I asked. He said "If you hang up on me one more time your Social Security Number is going to be blocked!" I asked him to explain that, he said "That's my problem, not yours."

My girlfriend keeps getting these calls on her cellphone from "Officer" Shawn Williams. He keeps calling asking for someone else. She finally made him understand that he has the wrong number, and will never reach the person he is looking for at this number. Then, he started trying to collect her personal information "for their records." He got nothing from her, but we suspect that he will continue calling. I am about to start posting his number all over the internet, just to see how he likes repeated incoming calls ;)

i had the same thing happen to me. this is getting crazy. i have notified my superiors and OSI. hopefully they will not call again.

I had a call from Matthew Hall as well and he is threating to talk to my boss and said they will be here to arrest me if i don't pay 350.00 bt 12:00  I don't know what to do, I can't afford for him to talk to my boss.
Please give me some advise
