- Jim BallardI received a call from this number last Thursday. The man who called me stated that they were helping veterans get help with pain issues. I gave him information to him that I wish I didn't. Now I can't get anybody on the phone at that number.
Jim Ballard- Caller: Didn't get their name
- BobConstantly calling. Leave no message. When you pick up no one says anything, no sound at all. Caller ID says Roberta Jansen. Now blocked.
- Caller: Roberta Jansen
- John Scott| 1 replyNo one on line when answered! Do not know this person, or anybody in this area!!
- Caller: Roberta Jansen
- John Scott replies to John ScottAT&T states that this is a call that can not be blocked!!!!!!!!
- Toby Southerfield| 2 repliesI'm perplexed by some of the reviews I've read. For one, theyre helping veterans and wounded warriors. Families of verterans too. They're NOT selling anything, and if you take a second and talk with them, you too may be helped! I spoke to a lady name Erica ! I'm thankful to have met her!
- Rick StickeHas called several times. They hang up as soon as they get answering machine. Obviously some sort of sales pitch or scam.
- Caller: "Roberta Jansen"
- rox replies to Toby SoutherfieldIf we on the other end of the phone want help we will ask for it. This is an unwanted call no matter what the intention.
- roxYOU ARE A TELEMARKETER, AND I DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH ANY COMPANY THAT USES TELEMARKETING AS A FORM OF ADVERTISING". DON'T ANSWER UNKNOWN CALLS. DON’T HAVE YOUR NUMBER REMOVED! When you press the number to have your number removed, you confirm that your number is a working number and then they sell your known active number to another scammer. Now I either block the numbers or I don't answer the phone at all.
ROBO CALLS: Each area code has 9,999,999 numbers. Add 800 possible area codes. The program starts calling every number that it can in succession. So they don't need to buy or obtain lists from anyone so DNC does not work. The FTC receivesanywhere from 250,000 to 300,000 complaints per month, with robocalls responsible for around 60% of those complaints.
So, just block them, and continue using this great site for information to be in control of your own home and cell phone calls. If it turns out that you did not answer a call from someone you know (number not on this site), just call them back. No problem. MY HOME PHONE (Panasonic Link2Cell Bluetooth® KX-TGH263B LCD/2 Handsets) BLOCKS 250 NUMBERS AND THE ADDRESS BOOK HOLDS 3,000 numbers and the phone talks to you and says spam from across the room (like if you are up on a ladder). I save each call as spam and don't answer it. Right now I have 98 numbers saved as spam and still have room for 2900 more.
NOTHING IS GOING TO STOP THESE SCAMMERS AND LAZY COLLECTION AGENCIES (statute of limitations on debt: (http://www.creditinfocenter.com/rebuild/statuteLimitations.shtml) who call everyone with the same name instead of looking up the right one and all we can do is block them or use call forward selective.. ITS OUR LIFE AND WE NEED TO TAKE IT BACK.
One person said to call forward selective to the FCC whose number is 1-717-338-2533
The Center for Investigative Reporting joined two news organizations in an investigation of groups that use telemarketers to raise money and what they found is that most of the money is paid to telemarketers, leaving the charities with little, if anything. (3%)
Not only that but reputable charitable organizations don't solicit donations by phone.
So it's good advice to remember to just say no to anyone who solicits over the phone unless you actually personally know the person calling.
DEBT COLLECTORS
This was posted on this web site:
The Fair Debt Collection Act (FDCPA) was put into place To give people legal rights when it comes to collection agencies and collection attorneys. If this collection agency is calling you for a debt you owe or a debt that is not yours, they could be violating your rights.
IF YOU ARE BEING CONTACTED BY ANY COLLECTION AGENCY, get in contact with http://www.fdcpacompliance.com/ asap so they can determine what rights these bottom feeders have violated and take action. More and more American’s find themselves being hounded by debt collectors as a result of our country’s recent economic downturn. The good news is that harassment is an illegal act according to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). The great news is that each infraction is PUNISHABLE UP TO $1,000.00 TO THE CONSUMER for statutory damages, and possibly more for actual damages! The offending agency also has to pay your attorney’s fees. The only thing that the consumer generally has to do is help to gather and provide information.- Caller: auroura hills ca
- NanaMy phone listed call from Roberta Jansen but the person identified herself as Dominique, from Regional PainCenter. Stated that they were working on behalf of veterans and their families regarding new benefits for medical pain. Was I in any pain? Was my spouse? When I said no, Dominique stated, "So everyone there is happy, healthy and doing good?" to which I gladly replied, Amen!. Dominique thanked me for my time. Love it!
- Caller: Regional Pain Center
- BooUngEeI am a VET. I've never heard of such an organization! I just blocked this number. Suggest that all buy a phone system that allows one to block callers through caller ID. I use a Panasonic model that blocks 2000 numbers. No message, call blocked.
- Caller: Roberta Jansen
- MBushI have answered and there is no one on the line. I have also let the machine pick up and no message left.
- Caller: Says Roberta Jansen
