"IRS" SCAMMER....don't answer or give out info!!!! Tell them to PUCK OFF....

Scam.  Called from "Department of Legal Affairs."  Spoke broken English and warned that my attorney should call because I was in big trouble.  Obvious fraud.  Had hard time remembering the callback number when he repeated it.  

Scam: Called saying they were from the U.S. Treasury, department of legal affairs. Spoke broken English and said should have lawyer call back or it could become an ugly mess.

Same thing. Dept of treasury would have to send written notice too.

Really??? If you really were from the "treasury dept" or office of legal affairs, you would KNOW that the person you are trying to reach DOES NOT LIVE AT THE NUMBER YOU CALLED AND HAS NOT FOR 5 PLUS YEARS.  

Message from Alan Carter in heavily accented English saying legal action has been started against our son (who hasn't lived here for 10+ years) by the Department of Legal Affairs, US treasury.

Received the same call twice now, wanted to call back and yell at the little &^%#$@$er, but went nowhere. Wish there was something to be done about these parasites?

I just received two calls from this number saying 'serious legal action' is being taken against me.   I told them to lose my number and not call again.   They called right back and said "You are a criminal." and then hung up.    Very poor English.

LOSERS!   Do not fall for this crap!

Oh my gosh this is the 5th phone call in one month I have let it go to voicemail before but answered it. Guy had very broken accent and said he was from department of legal affairs from irs I said well irs does not have a department of legal affairs and he said well we are not the irs. He said if I don't cooperate he would chase me down and make my life miserable.  I told him to quit calling and harassing me and I am reporting to the fbi then hung up.

And I too just received a call from this same person, same broken English, same threats. It can certainly initially make one nervous, but it is pure BS. Looking for my ex-wife who is so insanely easy to find, I'm pretty sure the fed could do better. Too bad we can't put this [***] behind bars.

Called said hes is from the dept of treasury. He said I  need  a lawyer I was in criminal trouble.  I told him he was a scammer and  legal notice comes in the mail.He said he sent out  mail then wanted me to verify my address, he could not pronounce any of it including the worde drive. I told him when he learns english I will tell him and hung up. He immediately called back I told him i am making a report to the FBI then he hung up. I blocked his number

Just got exactly the same call - he doesn't even change his script.  Thank goodness it went to my machine.  Called a friend who told me to google the number and thank goodness I found all these posts.  Apparently he will call back - I will say that the person he is looking for is in prison!!
