    This actually sounds like the beginning of a Publisher's Clearing House scam to me.

    Initial contact received via text message, then call. Claiming to have a "signature required" package. Wanting to know what time will "I" be home to sign for package. Note: There was no official note from UPS left with tracking number etc. When question he turned off his phone. When in doubt always ask for tracking number and track package. Should say out for delivery...on that date. Per UPS / FedEx.
