Received a call from Federal Internet Crime Control Unit...said I was going to be under arrest with several hours....I called back and told him I had reported this number to the attorney general...scammer

This company called me also saying they were from the Federal Internet Crime Control Unit.  They asked me for my SS # and told me that I needed to get a lawyer.  This person that called me was not from the US. They barely spoke english.   This is definately a scam.

A man whom barely was audible (sounded very forein with a thick accent) except he said there was a subpena at my door right now and I would be arrested said he was from United Law Association-I looked up that name and there is no such company.He spoke in a threatening voice and said his name  was Alex Parker-he says he is part of Internet  Crime control and someone will show up at my workplace or home  and I will be arrested and detained....

Returned a call for this number that was demanding money and threatening to have them fired if they don't send money. Challanged as to what he would do and he stated with his thick accent that he was with the Jihad and would have myself and family murdered and that they would murder our President Obama too. Filed a complaint with the IC3.

Alex Parker called again from "FDIC"(his company changed names since last call. He said he was part of the legal department and I needed to take care of matters to call and send $1012 to a Cash Advance America  @# 919-399-9598 so that I would not be arrested and detained at my home or workplace. I asked him( and his "supervisor" Robert chappell and his Legal Dept. person(who said he was with the United Law Association)"Sebatian's employee number was SD-1818. to send me paperwaork about the matter-they ALL got angry and then after me saying that I would not divulge any more info(since they obviously know what all my info is)to send me paperwork so that I can close the matter....
Nedless to say ALL six people I spoke to had very thick accents and got angry I knew alot about their location and other info I got off the internet ab out them.
I reported them to the FCC for threatening comments and harrassment and reported them to my local police as well.I did find an enomous amount of complaints about the Cash America Advance(and ALL derivations of that name AND that company.net states on their website that they do NOT contact anyone by phone at all!

So you were threatened with arrest for a debt???

So you were threatened by the FDIC - Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation????  That must be a new department since they  insure bank deposits.  Why not give us all the details of your letter - court location, date, attorney, etc.  Nice try but your scam isn't believable.  Slow day in the scammer's boiler room???

So did they provide the following: business address, proof that they own the right to collect the debt, docket number for court?  Short answer is no isn't it? <buster just got busted>

I have a branch of the FDIC that works in my building. Maybe I should pass this along to a friend of mine who works for them about the use of FDIC in a scam.

I received a call from the same people was told I was going to be arrested in 2 hours for a debit of $500 in which I got from American cash loan was the first one then they said advanced cash ..when I asked if I cashed a check or was it deposit , they could not answer. Then I asked for the name of the bank that it was deposited to they said ummm you know mama...I then told them I wanted the number of the company with the law suit against me ...they gave me a number it which same accent I could not understand them either in which one hung up on me. I called them back after telling them I wanted to talk to the owner of the company they told me to get an attorney..fake ass people here I spent my afternoon in a panic for a scam trying to get money

These people called my place of employment demanding to talk to me. They were very rude to my HR department said they were from Internet crime control..last time the called they said he was a detective I was told there accents were strong and got angry very easy when questioned..relentless

Got a call from this a hole too - WTH - How do you get them to leave you alone...Im not going to give my info out- Are they freaking nuts??

I still don't believe it.  What government agencies that you know of use magicJacks to place their calls?  That's right, people ... this is a magicJack number.

By the way, Howard Cogan (any relation to "James Cogan?") is the snarky voice of "Jack FM" on the radio.  Any connection, do you think?

I had the same thing happen to me. I don't believe he is a detective. I believe its a scam

Very thick Indian accent claiming to send a warrant to my house in several hrs. Also claimed he was from Internet Crime Control.
