I can only assume this is from the Spanish speaking robo call I received a few minutes ago.  Made the mistake of answering phone.

Called, picked up but no answer or message.  ID was "GRANT W".  Assume this another telemarketer.  Will block them.

A call originating from this Canoga Park-based landline number arrived today.  When the call rolled to voice mail, the caller left no message.  This behavior is typical of robocallers who use automated dialers to place calls.  If a live person answers, the system transfers the call to a live telemarketer.  Neat, huh?  The reports of other posters (see above) confirm the likelihood of illegal telemarketing activity.

I did not grant Mr/Ms Grant the courtesy of answering their call - nor will I

called back and said it was AT&T but changed their number. Could stay on the line and they would help me

They call ten to twelve times a day.  Won't say anything on the phone.

Keeps calling and not leaving a message.  A real pest this one.

Don't even pick up the call if you do not know the caller - let alone call back.  If it is important, they will leave a message.  The "robo-calls" where no one is there and it just hags up on you is the biggest scam of all.  They do not want or care to talk to you.

The machine simply records if someone answers the phone (and it can differentiate between a live person and an answering machine), notes the number, day of the week, and time. Then they collate all this info and sell the lists to other telemarketers saying "someone was home/answered the phone, this day of the week, at this time, at this number."

Sales call to service our air conditioner.  Told them it was brand new and they hung up.  Have called several times in the last few days.  Told them to quit calling.

They said the same thing, to service AC and furnace in the home. I said this was an office and he said wrong number and hung up immediately.

Unwanted telemarketer call, claiming had something to do with air conditioning. We're on the apparently useless Do Not Call Registry.

The DNCR is not meant to act as a call blocker & will never stop bogus operations.

FOLKS - STOP ANSWERING UNKNOWN TELEPHONE CALLS - EVEN IF THEY ARE LOCAL NUMBERS!
THEY ARE ALWAYS SCAMS!  DON'T CALL THE NUMBER BACK!!!
We don't answer unknown calls - WE BLOCK THEM...and so should you!
Called at 4:50pm.  BLOCKED at 4:51pm.  BLOCKED FOREVER!

Made the mistake of answering the phone - when you hear that unmistakable noise like a bubble surfacing in the toilet you know it is a telemarketer   who picked up after he hears the noise.  I heard the noise just as he came on and I said "Oh! Crap" and he laughed and hung up......just block them.

Male caller said he was from (garbled) service center and wanted to service my heater/AC.  Had to talk over him to say I wasn't interested and remove me from his list.  Said he couldn't do that.  I said he has to by law.  He got more and more angry and insisted he didn't have to remove me.  What a salesman!

Waste of time.  Scam HVAC contractor.
