Irv says he is calling from the Jewish Center and asks to speak to the doctor about referrals. Says he cant explain what he wants, groans and ums and finally when he doesnt get to speak to the doctor, he says I cant help him and hangs up

A fast talking guy says his name is Max Taylor. He asks for the owner of the business and says that he's following ulp and that he and the owner have been talking back and forh for the past week.  He didn't know the owners name, and I'm the only one answerom the phones, so I know he never spoke with my boss.

Yes I did....I spoke to someone in your office, and yes i didn't know the owners name, however, I am fast talking but slow thinking.

They call my law office daily.  I ask them what kind of services to the Jewish community do they provide.  I tell them that the "Jewish Center" where I grew up provided hebrew school, summer camp, assistance for the elderly, etc.  They don't provide any of these services and have no right to call themselves or hold themselves out as a "Jewish Center".  It's misleading.  They need to be reported to the Bureau of Consumer Affairs.

I have very politely asked them to take me off of their list at least three times now...but the calls keep coming. They want to give me client "referrals", translation: we'd like you to pay us to be placed on a list.If they are legitimate, fine, but why keep calling when I've asked numerous times not to be called?  That tells me they are not on the up and up or are so disorganized they can't keep track of information. So, would I want to be on their list or pay them money? No.

They leave messages on my office line claiming they have referrals for me and I should call them back.  I'm an attorney.  I never call them back.

They called my company (plumbing) about five month ago, and said they had "referrals" or "jobs" for me. I was tempted to return the call, and actually met the guy (Gabriel).
He showed me their services and persuaded me that signing up was the best thing for me, cause they get large residential and commercial jobs from the Jewish community. Anyways, I paid him around $2,500 for the whole year.
So far I received only two jobs from them, one residential in Calabasas and one re-pipe job for a Synagogue in Hollywood.
Gabriel promised me a job a month or more and so far, that's all I got.

Called my tax practice.  Same as the other - promise to bring us clients.

they called look for the owner and said they have client referral, i am working in a CPA company.

I did not answer the call at first but returned the call. They are a Jewish center. I politely asked to be removed from their call list. They kept asking; are you an attorney, what company are you. They just don't get the message that I want my number removed. so now their number is in my phone list as; [***] 394. Yes, that is 394 [***] i have in the contact list. When they don't get the message I add them to my contact list. And I am on a do not call list but no one respects that. So when I see it is one of the [***] I asked to remove my number, I swipe the phone and immediately disconnect the call. After a while it stops but I still keep them in their in case some other [***] their starts calling my number.

mikey you should put that contact setting to automatically go to voicemail.  Thats how i have mine.  I have a contact called 'Dont Answer" and I save everyone of these types of calls to that contact and I have a setting for that conact that sends it straight to voicemail.

Jody from Forward Thinking called AGAIN....I do not answer their calls thanks to the heads up from John who made the mistake of paying $2500 to be listed in their directory for 1 year.  It is very miss-leading to say you have business referrals but you are really trying to sell something.   I am sick of these calls and from others  trying to sell me stuff I don't want.

I received a call from 818-884-1829.  "Norman" claims he has clients for me.  I am not interested. Love this site so I can find out about other people who have been bothered by this company.

"Michael" called and says he a has a job for us but said he can only speak with the owner. SCAM

We got a call on our answering machine saying he was the owner of a business by the same name,he left the number in question, and said to call him back.I did a little research and found a yellow pages listing with my company name, my company phone#, but his address. The address was for an apt complex,not a welding shop

Received a telephone call from a guy at our office who called himself "Norm".  He wouldn't say where he was calling from but keep requesting to speak with the attorney. When I asked if the attorney would know who he was, he basically said to just give him his name and telephone number.

"Tara Morgan" called our office.  She  left a voice message saying she wanted to speak with prinicipal attorney to refer new clients.  The principal attorney has no idea who she is. It is unususal for anyone to call  wanting to refer valued clients without first personally knowing us.  Also, Tara  spoke with a forced, affective, seductive voice...definitely not the power broker professional business voice that represents the clientelle we serve.  PASS!

Same as above.  Repeated calls over span of years.  So glad to have the messages above to confirm that the message (latest was "Ken Curry" not saying it's the "Jewish Center" but same number, different names) needs to be deleted and not called back.  Don't trust this number, don't bother even calling back.

I received a call to my psychotherapy office also from "Ken Curry." I called the number he left (818) 884-1829 back but I had a feeling he was not a client seeking treatment since he left no information whatsoever. When I called back a very rude woman said he wasn't at his desk and nearly insisted that I leave my name and number which I refused to do. I have no idea what they were selling but the man sounded quite odd and disturbed, as did the receptionist. I think they both really do need a therapist!
