Came from Harris Marketing - when you call back, you can leave a message to be removed. Calling on behalf of some charity.

I blocked them.

Call shows from Northern Los Angeles Area.
I didn't answer and called back. It says it's a disconnected number.
I've had 5 calls already since Tuesday (4 days).
They must be calling illegally through the internet.
Block them? I wish there was a way to block ALL calls not programmed into a phone....
Hear that phone makers?

fyi...my phone is located in Austin, TX.

This caller is not honoring requests to be placed on their do not call list.  That is illegal all by itself.

This number calls several times daily and even if answered nobody there.  Let's start bugging our so-called reps to get rid of ALL unsolicited calls.

This company calls almost every night. The caller only asks for my husband and then hangs up. When I try to call back, the message says the number is disconnected.
This type of behavior should be illegal. :(

Been getting 2 calls a day from this number for couple weeks now. I try answering and get no response. I try blocking and it leaves empty voicemail twice a day. What is this?

Still getting 1-2 calls per day always silence. I called the AT&T who was the last servicer of this line. Said the account was closed about Sept 2013. I Believe the origination is a computer located at Harris Direct address 6800 Owensmouth Ave Ste 200 Canoga Park, CA 91303. They have another number 8184514514 which when called goes right to a full voicemail box message.

Being out of idea's with both my cell company (says it will cost me $5/month enable account feature to completely block the number) and also the company that last serviced 8188848681 I next tried to call the local police a few miles from the address above. They said I would have to open an investigation with my local police dept (in Massachusetts). My local police says they can do nothing.

Hmm, any other ideas how to get these to stop? My current theory is that Harris Direct is no longer in business but they have left a computer on that is calling us 1-2 times per day since Sept 2013. Maybe we just have to wait for their electrical service to be shutoff?

I've been receiving calls from this number daily.  I live in Maryland.  The Caller ID is listed as Winnetka CA.

I started getting calls about a month ago - voice mail - just dead air.  When I answer - dead air, no response to my "hello is anyone there".

I'm with Craig that this is a company no longer in business but somehow there's a computer that keeps dialing random numbers and it just doesn't know when to stop.

Let's hope the electricity gets cut-off soon.

Lots of calls from (818) 884-8681 but no messages. Caller ID just says "Charity Call". They're now blocked.

Just got home from church and had a VM left from this number. Incomplete sentence and then hung up. I don't think a computer is dialing this number since there was a VM left on my phone that was not a recording! Surely they are using the computer to make these calls but there is someone who is on the line! Annoying and irritating - I keep getting these kinds of calls - what good is there in being  on the Do NOT Call list???

I receive 1-2 calls a day. When I pick up I never get a response. When I send to voice mail, I just get a blank message.

I get annoying calls from this number at least twice a day. If anyone finds a way to stop them, please share. They seem to call at the most inconvenient times -- like when I'm putting kids to bed. it's terrible and it should be illegal

repeated calls, started recently, despite my answering system message that such calls not accepted and presence on do not call list.  Leaves no message.

iPhone / iOS7 does this (do-not-disturb mode with a known-contact allow ... or you can block numbers individually). Not sure about Android / WindowsPhone / etc.
