I got a call from this number today as well.  I answered and was informed it was someone calling to set up an interview for a sales position for a company called the Davies Group.  They are a financial group.  I tried googling them to see what their company was all about, and have had no such luck.  So I don't know if it was a set up of some sort or what, but thought I would share this info!

I received a call from them today as well. About a management position. My resume is on career builder as well. I'm supposed to have a follow up phone interview tomorrow.

This is an insurance vendor looking for agents. The website search is "richard davies group, arden nc".  This is similar to American Income Life, Prudential (etc) calling for agents.  If you're into sales it's a potential income source. If you're not - then no skin off their nose.  And yes, I have my resume on CareerBuilder.com as well.

They got my info from career builder too. The company is they say they are calling from is a company that helps business find people. Pretty much a scam if you ask me I wouldn't trust them.

they called about setting up and interview for a Sales and Sales Management positions. Said they had seen my resume on Monster.

I got the same call today for an interview setup. Hope this is legit company, any suggestion, i have phone interview on Wednesday.

I got a call yesterday about an interview - they got my information from Monster.com. The manager was suppose to call today but did not.

have gotten dozens of calls from 828-585-6934 (I am on do not call), this is a telemarketing scam

number being used by someone trying to buy engine parts to be shipped overseas

I got the same call but they are calling themselves the Burke group....strange?

Pretty hilarious.  Got my # off Monster.  Said "I'm calling from Eric Lydee's office, and wondering if you're still looking for a position."  I said "Where are you calling from?"  She said, "Eric Lydee's office."  I said well who is Eric Lydee?  With that she sighed and hung up.

Lynn. I also was left a message on my voicemail by The Davies Group saying that the ran across y resume on ZipRecuiter.  I too tried looking them up and the only company I got was an insurance claims company for the UK

That did not seem quite right so I looked up the number and it brought me here.

Said they got my resume off of Monster and I would be a good fit for a position they are trying to fill. Going to call back and see what smoke they are trying to blow.

they called my work and ask for me or my husband (by name of course) I then put them on hold so I could search the number, you guessed it!!! this is SPAM. Now of course I played this up BIG, they hung up on me . lol  when I tried to call them back I got a recording.

Got a call today from 828-585-6753 from Samantha from The Davies Group.  Says "we found your resume on Monster.com and was hoping to talk to you about an opportunity we have available with our company.  Feel free to give me a call back at 828-585-6753.  Have a great day."    I then got an email via Monster.com (see below).  In that email signature of Samantha, it states the company is thedaviesgroup.org, but if you try to go to that website it's under construction.  So, based upon a non-working website, as well as everyone else's feedback I've read, this appears to be a scam.

Here is the email I received after the phone call:

Hello , My name is Samantha Sain. We found your resume on Monster, and thought that you would be a great fit with our company.  We are looking for sharp, highly motivated individuals.

The job is to help clients who have contacted our company and asked for help with Life Insurance, Mortgage Protection and Retirement Products, and find the right product that best fits their needs.

This is a commission based position and the pay is about $500 per week Part-time (1 – 2 days per week) or $1,500 per week for Full-time.
No cold calling, no door to door and no call center.
No experience required, we will train you.
Must have personal transportation.
Must be 18 or older
Life/Health License required or willing to obtain.
