Received a call. Said independent counsel. Asked what it was for. Lady said let me pull the file then hung up.

Received a cal that went to a recording, said it was an attorney and that there is a case against me and that I needed to call them back or I will forfeit my rights.  LOL yeah right, SPAM!

We just had the same thing happen. When pressed for information about some "case" brought against us, she got real ghetto and hung up. We called back several times with no answer. When she finally answered she said, "Get a lawyer for your bench warrant, and stop harassing us," then hung up on is again. Independent Counsel, 140 Paloma DR,
Floresville TX is all the information I could get from some guy who answered before transferring. Address is to a building for sale, obviously a scam

I also had the a lady call me from this phone #, and when I called back, said no one was there to take the call. She also stated she was with independent counsel.

I received the same call, she said it was for a payday loan they said I took out in 2010....I told her I needed a month and date and kept putting me on hold....

Just got a call from a very aggressive person on my voicemail. I called back to no answer. get out of here

Received a call, Ilene Lacey, from Independent Council, left VM. We have a case that requires your immediate attention. It is imperative that I speak with you or your attorney of records today...
There are no records for such company located in Texas.

A woman from this number called me and my mother stating we were going to go to jail and forfeit our rights if we don't acknowledge and make payments for a debt that doesn't even belong to me, none of the information of the so called client of theirs is mine yet I was told well since I answered and acknowledged the phone call I would just have to deal with it and go to court and hope the judge believes me when I tell him that's not me....um, excuse me? The woman named Karen was extremely rude and unable to answer any kind of question I had all she could do was talk over me stating it's my problem now and advised me to get a lawyer and then hung up the phone disconnecting the call. When I called back I asked to speak to a supervisor or someone of authority after being transferred 4x I spoke to a woman named Jessica Davis  who again didn't listen to me and while I was talking transferred me to a number with a full voice mail and no known intended recipient..to say I am a bit annoyed and frustrated is an under statement.

I just received this EXACT SAME recording from this number! A woman named Irene from independent counsel about a pending litigation case against me. Myself or attorney needed to call back immediately or I would wave my rights.

This number is calling me repeatedly leaving voice mails saying basically the same thing she has said to everyone else. It's quite frustrating.

Indicated that I had an unpaid balance for a pay day loan. Once I asked for her to send me documentation (by law, all debt collectors have to send proof of outstanding debt) she stated all she had was documents to send to a direct attorney. Considering I have the ability to represent myself, I asked for proof and she said that there will be paperwork filed in my county. I said ok, she told me good luck and hung up. Evidently it is a cell as I was able to send a text and not get a land line. Indicated who I work for and was able to ping an exact location to their location and realize who the phone was registered under and was sending FBI to direct location. All fabricated but fun to mess with these idiots. Do not pay attention to this, it is fake calls trying to scare you into giving them money. Nothing more nothing less.

I received a voicemail from this phone number also. The message said me or my legal counsel needed to contact the office or I would waive my rights. Its disturbing to see so many others received the same ridiculous call/message.

Thank you for the information. Perhaps people should get REAL jobs instead of scamming innocent people all day.

I had the same call today

I had the same call today. the so called lady stated that if I did not call her back I would forfeit my rights. I had received several calls about a payday loan that was suppose to be taken out in 2013, however, I have not had a bank account since 2008. LOL, these are stupid people trying to scam everybody. Maybe they done a data breach somewhere and got information that way. I really do not know, but the joke is on them. I have notified the FBI, and Secert Service on several, and will on them too.

What a pointless phone call. They pull up your name from your phone number then say you have some case pending against you. Yesterday she said Arkansas and today she said Fairbanks Northstar which is in ALASKA. I was also called a [***] and told to "save it" when I asked for additional information. SCAM ALERT!
