this number has another number on top which is 881 or maybe SS1.  they are very annoying and should be stopped or arrested for bothering people.  with todays technology anything or anyone can be located.

SSI - "An independent survey research organization."  I blocked them.

Three calls today and when I answer, no one responds.  On the third I just picked the phone up and hung up.
Will report them to the Do Not Call Complaint folks.  Wish me luck

This caller would not speak to me, wanted only my elderly mother. I tried to find out the company name but caller would not say. She spoke so quickly and incoherently that my mother hung up.

SSI is actually a leading, legitimate survey company.  However, I think this particular survey, which is supposed to be on behalf of the Centers for Disease Control, has either been subcontracted to some incompetents or been hijacked.  I took the survey originally on the SSI website (Opinion Outpost--I have been a member for years) and was told to download a CDC page regarding Senior Transportation in your local area.  I did and that's legit.  I was then told I would receive a phone call survey paying $15 for my input on the web page.  This is a fairly common survey company practice.  
However, several 830-328-xxxx numbers have called (hours off the appointment time) and rescheduled, but never honoring the new appointment time.  There have also been a number of call from that exchange which are just hangups.  Very strange.

I got I call from SSI and it was for a political survey.

I let it go to the answering machine.
The only thing it recorded was a "hello?"
Now blocked.

I answered and agreed to take a politically focused survey.  I have a masters degree and significant experience with developing surveys.  The construction of the questions where too complex and convoluted to yield meaningful results.  Frequently, the possible answer choices were not even related.  I asked for the name of the sponsoring organization at the end of the survey and was given a garbled answer and hung-up on.  Be aware that political groups will site useless surveys to enhance their agenda.  Please become an informed voter!

When answered -- nothing said just a hang up -- now I don't even answer.  Today they called twice within 2 hrs but some days they will 3-4 times.

Surely the holder of a master's degree should know the difference between a "site" and a "cite"

She started by saying they were doing a survey. I ended it when she offered a 10% cash back credit card. Scammers.
