Several calls to my cell over a few days. I didn't answer as I didn't recognize the number. Did not leave a message.

This is a scam caller.  "Hello my name is .........  I'm from Windows Security Dept and I'm calling about your Windows PC.  We are monitoring error messages and we need to fix the errors.  Follow my instructions and enter the following IP address so I can remotely help resolve".  Yeah!!! Right!!.  They want to take control of your PC so they load software that monitors your keystrokes and websites visited.  Before you know it..... Your identity is stolen, your bank account is empty, and you have lost all your personal information.  DON'T FALL FOR THIS SCAM.

The above user is correct. If you ever get a call from them again, tell them that "eventvwr doesn't contain errors caused from viruses or infections. It simply contains error logs from programs and has nothing to do with viruses." Then hang up.

Called cell, no message.  California number with no reason to call the midwest.  Scam likely.

Yep, got a call from this number twice within an hour. Answered the second time and it was exactly what Andy described. I said "my computer is fine" and hung up. We'll see if he calls back again.

I got the same Windows Security call from this number... have been for the last few days now.  I always hit 9 when I hear the scam, but that doesn't do much to remove me from some call list.  Today, the gentleman called me back to say "[***] you" to me, which was a nice bonus.

If I could sue or have these people arrested, that would be wonderful.  Feeling powerless to stop scammers from calling my phone on a daily basis is probably the most frustrating hate-generating thing I encounter every day.

Also, why is "Scam" not selectable under "Call Type" on this form???

I get this call everyday all day sent to reject. When I answer they don't say anything and when I call back it say number disconnected

Calling house phone every hour!!! They need to stop or will file harassment !!!

Just got a call from this number. Jokes on them, I use Linux.

I'm tired of getting these calls. Since I don't recognize the, I don't answer it.

I have had the same experience as everyone else.  They cake and want to correct a non existent problem.  When I call the number it indicates my call can not be completed,

I used a computer company in the past to rectify a problem and was not pleased with the service.  I this the calls I am receiving are in retaliation for the negative experience I previously had.

Got a call from a Indian man stated he is calling me to help me fix the windows errors that have been happening on my computer for the last few weeks. He called from the phone number 831-856-7456. Greenfield, California.

I asked him what my name was and he told me he was looking for Edgar. I told him that I was indeed not a man or called Edgar and that this was a scam call he was making. They call the house phone and my cell phone a few times each week. Really annoying!!!. What can be done to find these rats and arrest them as they obviously want access to your computer and start a bunch of crap!!
