calls - no message - no idea - unwelcomed

I got a home phone after years of not having one. The day it was installed I started receiving calls from marketing. Abouta month after I had the phone, I recieved a call from a dept collection for a cell phone I had 5 yrs ago. I havent given my number out, so assumed the phone company sold out my number. I called them up, justto be told that they hadn't sold my number out and to go to donotcall.com. A few days later I get a call from 8322094640 asking for so and so. I knew the person but told them I didnt. I dont understand how they'd get her name associated with my brand new number. Thats crazy.

Its a collection agency called Redline Recovery.  They just called here looking for someone I didnt know.  Called them back and informed them of this and they said they will take my number out of their system.  We shall see.

keep getting calls ...no messages being left...am on the Do Not Call Registry!!!

I just got a call (my call for the day,as the same number calls everyday) when I say hello, it iakes a second for a recorded message to come on saying this is not a telemarketer, so I hang up. I get so sick of people calling here for someone that has moved and hasn't lived here in years.Find some other way to contact them. Leave me alone!!

I see it this way, i've paid ALL my bills on time for 11 years. NEVER a high balance, and maybe a total of 4-6 late. I've been without a stady income for over a year, cell phone and renting a room are the bills I PAY !
these colletors have a BOUGHT this outstanding balance with hopes of making money.........You want money .....take me to court. I guess I'm saying I've paid in full with the high interest rate.

I love the way they try to make you believe they can see it's who they are calling by telling you "If you continue to listen, you are .........." hahahahhaa that's some funny right there !!

Male voice keeps calling. Calling needs to stop.

Do not answer, very rude collections agency. Calls very early and i had to remind them of my rights under the fair debt and collections practices act.(sec808)   Sent them a cease calling/harassment letter or I will invoke my right to sue the caller personally for 500$ each violation. I had to sue a collector 5 years ago and they settled with me 4 days before court date. Do not let them harass you.

Debt collector called Redline Recovery Services

Received a call from this number.  I stayed on the line thru the recording to see why they were calling my number.  The person who finally came on the line asked for someone I did not know. Told them I did not know this person.  Asked how they got the number.  The person stated 'she gave it to us'.  I told her this was a new number for me.  She stated to me "xxxxx xxxxxxxx gave it to us as her number. The person then stated 'she was lying if this is not her humber'.  I commented that  was 'strong' as they did not know the  person.'  They are very rude and even if I knew the person (which I don't) I would not tell them !!!
Where do they find these people??  under a rock~!!
