- jonnyI got this call from the IRS, ooohhhh aaahhh!!!! for sure. The latest number to try a old new scam. I take a tax deduction that I wasn't able to and now I owe a lot of money. This guy caller calls himself Daniel but sound very foreign to me. Don't take this crap from scammers, fight back. I like to run them in circles like I don't under stand, and they get flustered and hang up. I figure if they have time to waist, I will waist more of there's. The US government doesn't call to collect money, they know where you are. They would just come get it. People arm your self, the time is coming and most of it is already here. Take a look around---anything that is wrong is ok to do and the things that are rite are wrong to do! This will only get worse as more slackers try to get easy money from those who are not wise.

- Jill White6/3/15: received recorded message, female voice, "the reason of this phone call is the IRS is filing a lawsuit against you".
6/4/15: call had a really strange ring; answered by a man w/ heavy Indian accent. Said an IRS audit for 2008-2012 showed I owed $2, 499. (Odd total, isn't it?) When I told him I always pay my taxes (true!) and asked to meet someone face-to-face, he hung up.- Caller: 832-251-7351

I’m an Enrolled Agent with the IRS (Inactive). IRS does not initiate contacts by phone. US mail only. IRS does not file lawsuits. Court action, if any is handled by the DOJ and all parties are entitled to legal assistance if it is a criminal matter. But--tax disputes are for the most part civil matters. 90% of all IRS tax disputes are settled administratively. IRS has absolutely no authority to call on local law enforcement for anything. Local law is never involved in IRS tax disputes. IRS does not threaten to involve local law enforcement or to arrest you for nonpayment of federal taxes. IRS has no powers of arrest. If LE is necessary, US Marshals do the job. IRS does not cold call anyone and demand immediate payment of money. IRS does not ask for financial information over the phone. IRS does not accept Green card money paks for payment in any case. No one is prosecuted for ordinary tax disputes. IRS has absolutely no authority over anyone's professional license. Professional licensing is handled by state governments. Yes, levies on property to satisfy an existing tax obligation do occur, but only after a very long period of negotiation. And yes, liens are placed on individuals but usually after a lot of negotiation and a failure to reach a settlement. All determinations of tax liability are subject to appeals. All contacts by the IRS are initiated by US mail. - sh replies to kmpKept getting calls, but no messages. Finally answered, but couldn't understand the caller. So I started calling back. No one answered the calls and I no longer am getting calls from that number. Hmmm?
- Prankster replies to Jay Lars| 2 repliesI wanna play too! got the number I can call? I love messing with these guys!
- Prankster replies to Prankster| 1 replyI don't have an account on this site so if you could, leave the number to call on your post here, I didn't write the number down but would so love to make their day longer with my soundboard magic!
- F.U. replies to kmpI received the same message and called them back....about 50 times in one hour. The guy got frustrated and told me not to call back. They only answered about 6 out of the 50 times. I am pretty persistent and plan on calling some more. Everyday. Everyone should do this and flood their system, even if you don't get through continue to call. They have to answer sometime.
- F.U. replies to PranksterNUMBER IS 1-832-251-7351. Enjoy.
- Sunshine replies to kmpI got the same call. I was very worry as anyone would be. So just minutes ago I picked up the phone and started to call them back and something told me..."no way am I going to be scammed again and I'm certainly not going to call a number without knowing where it is that I am calling". So this was the first page I clicked on. You will be happy to know that is on the top of the Google search engine anyway. Thankks for sharing.
And don't accept any calls or do business with a fictitious "life alert" company. They offer to send you the monitor and before it even arrives they ding your bank account for $29.99 (the monthly monitoring service) I still can't get my money back. WATCH THGOSE SCAMMERS PEOPLE...THEY ARE GETTING GOOD....AND HOPEFULLY WITH THESE MESSAGES...THEY WILL GET CAUGHT. - Didn't just fall off the turnip truck!Same scenario. I know the IRS doesn't call to collect money because my ex owed money and they sent a letter. I told them I knew they weren't the IRS and that I was recording the call. They hung up. An hour later I get the same type of call from 415-446-9681. Again the IRS. Another person with an India accent. This time from California. I repeated to thi person that I was recording the call and that the IRS doesn't call people for collection and that I was recording the call.....CLICK!!! Trust me, if either of those calls were from the IRS they sure wouldn't hang up when you put a little pressure on.
- lmcsm| 1 replyLeft a message on my voice mail to call back immediately. Here is the message. "Please call immediately on our department number 832-251-7351. I repeat 832-251-7351. Thank you." Message from Huston, TX.
- MaddieI also just received this call. A couple of days this same message was from another number...360-200-6829. The volume of these scam calls is getting ridiculous. Almost feels like a barrage of unwelcome harrassment.
- TWD replies to lmcsmI get the same message. i tired to call them several time back it keep ringing no one answers. I just wanted to get a person on the line and basically tell them i am on a do not call list and if they try to reach me with an auto-dialer again they will be sued
