Lawsuit being filed from IRS

I got a call about an IRS lawsuit too.

It is a scam. If you wait a couple of days & call back.The number will not be in service.I have had the same recording from several #s.

It's a scam. They claim it's the IRS and it's your final notice before a lawsuit begins. IT'S ALL RUBBISH, FOLKS! .......Because, the IRS will NEVER contact you this way.  I've received several of these phone calls with a different "official"  sounding voice each time.  The IRS will contact you via the U.S. Mail if they have some sort of a problem with you.  'Nuff said....

Total scam.  Originates in either India or Pakistan.   Block and ignore.   DO NOT RETURN THE CALL!

I’m an Enrolled Agent with the IRS (Inactive). IRS does not initiate contacts by phone.  US mail only.   IRS does not file lawsuits.   Court action, if any is handled by the DOJ and all parties are entitled to legal assistance if it is a criminal matter.  But--tax disputes are for the most part civil matters.  90% of all IRS tax disputes are settled administratively.  IRS has absolutely no authority to call on local law enforcement for anything. Local law is never involved in IRS tax disputes. IRS does not threaten to involve local law enforcement or to arrest you for nonpayment of federal taxes.  IRS has no powers of arrest.    If LE is necessary, US Marshals do the job.  IRS does not cold call anyone and demand immediate payment of  money.  IRS does not ask for financial information over the phone.   IRS does not accept Green card money paks for payment in any case.  No one is prosecuted for ordinary tax disputes. IRS has absolutely no authority over anyone's professional license. Professional licensing is handled by state governments.  Yes, levies on property to satisfy an existing tax obligation do occur, but only after a very long period of negotiation. And yes, liens are placed on individuals but  usually after a lot of negotiation and a failure to reach a settlement.    All determinations of tax liability are subject to appeals.  All  contacts by the IRS are initiated by US mail.

I got the same call from this phone number about a lawsuit from IRS. There is another number they use as well. I spoke with an agent and he said the same thing. I asked for them to send a letter, that was 4 months ago, still waiting. Sad that they do this to folks.

I just got the same call and a voice mail from same #. Scam!

They left a message so I called. Some dude answered saying some business and I told him to remove my number from their list and I am reporting to tgita.gov. I asked him why they are trying to scam ppl and that the irs would have a 1800 number. I was hung up on lol. I tried calling back to verify I'm off their call list but now no one answers :/

These idiots. I've have had so many of these IRS wannabe calls I just laugh now. It would be nice to see the Feds tracks these clowns down and prosecute them or kick them out of the country or just hang them... but I guess that's just a dream.

These people are pretending to be the IRS. The IRS never ever calls people. They contact you by mail. They called twice this morning at 9:56 AM PDT then again at 10:10 AM PDT. These heartless b.a.s.t.a.r.d.s want attention so bad.

The first clue is the 832 exchange.  A federal government agency would have a toll free (800, 877) number.  Don't call these bums back.

Got a call from that # my answering machine picked it up. Said the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me & this was my last notice. Seriously can't people get a real job instead of scamming people, this is getting old.

got the same threatening call, I did call back and a woman with a far eastern accent said now the sheriff can come get you and hung up, I tried calling back and rang twice then went busy. what was the purpose of me calling back? What can they get from that?
