    I did, too on March 9th. Actually, I got a NO Caller ID call that left a message to call this number in regards to a civil suit legal issue that a friend of mine was supposedly involved in. The caller's name was hard to understand. She said a subpoena would be delivered to my friend in three days and she or maybe even I should call. 832-446-7544. I alerted my friend of this and she called a lawyer friend who said she  has heard this is a scam. How would they get my phone number in relation to my friend?

    I got a similar call stating this was my last chance to comply with them. They left a phone number to call that was WAY different than the one they called from, and a supposed case number. I've had several of these since applying for a home and vehicle loan. Apparently my information wasn't kept private. They're trying to scare people into calling back and giving them info.

    I recevied 5 phone calls from this phone # within a 2 minute time frame.  They never left a message, just kept hanging up and calling back.  Caller ID says W R A.  I found it to be very interesting that several of the previous notes mention Wilson & Riley.  I have received several calls from this so called place over the last year and a half.  The name keeps changing from The Law Offices of Wilson & Riley to Wilson, Riley & Associates.   The most recent calls that I had this year where I spoke to someone they threatened to have me arrested for a debt that I knew nothing about.  I explained that I could be sued but not arrested and he wanted to argue with me.  I asked for their mailing address.  My intention was to sent them a letter requesting validation of this debt that he was claiming I owed.  He asked me to hold on and then hung up on me.  I called back and he said he didn't know what happened and asked me to  hold on again.  Again he hung up on me.  I called back a 3rd time and he told me that he had more important things to do and giving me an address wasn't important.  Then when he did give me an address it was for Cincinnati, OH but when I checked into it, it was not a valid address.  There is no way that this is a legitimate company.  And if they were legitimate, they wouldn't continuously have different phone #'s popping up all over the country.

    A man said his name was Jacob McDermott, and I owes money for a loan in 2013, I asked where is this company located and he said that's not his concern. I told him then this conversation is not my concern and hung up. He immediately called back and threatened to have me served at my residence and place of employment and have me brought to to court. I called back and asked to speak to a supervisor, which he denied and said he was tha only one dealing with me and I was a child and hung up on me. I called another number he called from to see if he would say the name of the company, but he answered again insulting and threatening me.

    I wouldn't worry about it.  This is just another scameroo, another attempt to scare someone into paying either a bogus debt, a debt that's already been paid, or even a debt that is owed - but not to the caller.  This number is actually a T-Mobile cell phone, so that should tell you something.  More info below:

    http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0258-fake-debt-collectors

    Consumers across the country report that they're getting telephone calls from people trying to collect on loans the consumers never received or on loans they did receive but for amounts they do not owe. Others are receiving calls from people seeking to recover on loans consumers received but where the creditors never authorized the callers to collect for them. So what's the story?

    The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

       is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
       refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
       asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
       exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

    If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:

       Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

       If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.
       Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
       Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft – charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
       Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate – but you think the collector may not be – contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
       Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.

    I got a call from them saying I was going to be served by the County legal service and they left a number for me to call.  They also called and harassed my 17 year old daughter, leaving the same message for me on her phone.  When I called them back, they were telling me that I owed money on a loan I had paid off 6 years ago.  When I told them that I knew it was a scam, the lady got ugly with me and called me a b*tch so I hung up on her.  She called back several times and I finally told her that if she called again, I was going to press harassment charges.  Haven't heard anything since.

    A voicemail was left on mother's phone saying her name was Garcia and I needed to call back and speak with an arbitrator before being served.  No other information.  I don't know who they are and they really upset my mother.  They take this thing way to far and I am not sure as to how they got her number.

    Long history of debt scamming on 800notes,  If they call you , ignore the calls and block them.

    If they are bothering you,

    Report them:

    http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection  (Threatening criminal prosecution to collect a civil debt is a clear violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Act)

    Also contact your local attorney general

    If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money,  tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  You might have to yell at the scammer and talk over him or her.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them .
