They are calling claiming they are going to serve me at work with documents or at home - claim I owe $935 from some payday loan I took out in 2008 - which I did not!  Try to explain that they talk over me.  Requested that they send it to my police department directly - said they don't do that.  Asked for their address - they will not give it to me or their company name, just kept demanding money called me stupid said they will find me and hit my face with the phone I'm so stupid etc.  These people are SCAMMERS!!!!!!!!!  First woman who called me was Beatrice with Legal Courier - when I called back netiher person who answered phone would give me name.  

They claim to serve me with a summons to appear in court for an account that I have paid. I called the original debtor and they confirmed this bill was paid, and that this was a scam. I call back they pick up and hang up. Thru gave me a fraudulent email address. Scam!!!!

Yea Katie these people are crazy!!  They read my warning online and told me they are going to get me arrested for slander and harassment and to look that up since I probably don't know the meaning of slander!!  I called my police department and filed something with ips online

Had to go to the police and file something online just know everyone by law if it is a legit debt they have to give you proof along with a business address and any person that delivers something to you must be licensed to do so and provide you with a registration number etc

One more thing, warn all your family if you get a call, "Beatrice" called my husband this morning and told him I owed $935 they just don't give up!!!!

It's definitely a scam.  If you search for the phone number, it comes up as an invalid number.  When the woman called me, I asked her for the name of the company, and she said they are ACP & Associates.  No such company (at least not as a collection agency or anything similar).  The woman who answered the phone said her name was Tracy, but the voice mail message ... same voice ... said her name was Claire Perkins.  It's also interesting that she says the bill I owe is 9 years old, which exceeds the limits (6 years maximum for a debtor to collect on an outstanding account).  Total BS.  I am actually hoping she will call me again so that I can string her along for a while, just for fun!

Susan make sure you tell your family, they keep calling my dad and husband....I have no clue how they even got their numbers!!!!

Getting messages from everyone (even those i don't associate with anymore) that they are getting calls from this number. I don't owe anyone anything. All my debts are paid in full. Stop calling cause you ain't getting nothing from me!

I don't answer calls from unknown or that I don't recognize. Imagine my surprise when this # left a message.

(throat clearing, deep breath) "Hi John, my name is Amanda Morris. I'm calling with the financial crimes division. Your name and number surfaced in a open case for a" <insert name of someone who I haven't seen in 3 years, but who has me in their cell phone contacts>". We have some felony charges here in our office that are set to be filed today in the state of" (pause, deep breath) <insert state name> "for her. If you could, uh, contact me directly at 8327424441, uh, the reference to her case number 1045927"

To the best of my knowledge, if this were debt collection, they can't even talk about anything until you acknowledge that you are, in fact, the person they are attempting to contact. If it were legit legal investigation or court summons you would be contacted by mail, likely registered, with authentic credentials; or you would be served papers, also with authentic credentials and by a licensed designee.  A reference number to a case number? seriously!? wow.

This morning My Grandmother came to my home regarding a call from this number. She proceeded to tell me that i was going to be arrested and that the police department was issuing a warrant for my arrest.They had given my grandma a call back number I called back and they answered and continued to tell me the same things they were claiming when my grandmother received the call.  I could not believe this was happening to me they were also claiming that i had taken out a pay day advance that had been taken out in 2011 which i was unable to pay they knew an old bank account of mine, my ss#, my DOB and continued to tell me all of this information which was true.  I had no idea whether to believe it of not.  I then asked them for their information the man on the phone continued telling me that he worked for the law offices of Brown and associates. I then asked them for their location and address and told me that they are all over the U.S. and that he was currently located in Florida today ( October 28, 14).  He gave me a case number and said i needed to send them a money order within 24 hours with the amount of $1,200 or i was going to be arrested ......in the moment i was vulnerable and was not thinking clearly so i hung up and started to research i Google'd the law firm and there was one. I then continued to call my bank and the Cash advance loan company and they had both told me that they do not EVER do any business in that manner or go through a law firm.  PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THIS I HOPE THAT IF YOU LOOK UP THIS NUMBER AND READ MY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!
