- MattLTHThis was a call from an unknown number, and they didn't leave a message after I ignored the call.
- NattyLiteCalled my cell, no response when I answered.
- Jane Doe| 1 replySomeone calls cell number routinely between 6 and 8 p.m. every evening! I always reject the call because, unless a name is listed in my phone on the safe list, I always reject the call. The numbers ring in as unidentified! Only people on my safe phone call list have my cell phone number. So it makes it easy to identify unwanted callers! Reject! Reject! Reject! I also, submit the unwanted callers' number(s) to the Better Business Bureau, the State Attorney's General's Office, and local law enforcement! It may do no good but it sure makes me feel good!

- RickReceived a call at 8:42 PM on 10/24/2015 from (842) 372-9558. Didn't recognize the number nor area code so I left it for the voice message. Anyone wanting to talk to me would have left a message; this caller did not. I then looked up the area code and found this site. After encountering these idiots in the past, I learned to leave it for the message. Being on the no-call list hasn't helped either.

- Bart| 1 replyThis call came in at 8:20 PM on Sat. night, caller ID said name unavailable, I answered and hung up right away. I get a lot of strange calls, I do not answer or speak to anyone I don not know. Also according to records 842 is an invalid area code. How do people call from non existing numbers, I've had several that I have looked up and that was the case?

One of the posters above indicated the Microsoft scam as well. Most of these calls are coming from India and Pakistan. Never ever let anyone access your computer that cold calls.. The only persons who should be touching your computer is you, your manufacturer, Real Windows support that you have called and/or maybe a real live tech you see face to face! And be very very leery of numbers when you look to call the real ones, there are fake websites up. Never call numbers from pop ups either, thats scareware.

http://www.wikihow.com/Get-Rid-of-a-Fake-Anti-Virus-Program-%28Scareware%29 - SeanEver see a pattern to these scammers? They happen in clusters. Like these idiots started on 10/24 and today is 10/26. I give it a few days before they are shut down and spring back up under a different number. I just checked other sites for this number and see the same pattern. All started on 10/24. Consumer Reports had a great article last month on phone scammers. Calling them back or press # to remove them from their database only confirms they have a live number or sucker in this case. That sucker list is sold over and over again. Any legit company would have a legit caller ID when calling.
