Thing but it's different bcuz the guy answered my call and tells me the situation and [***] like that..guy name was James Davis and the daughter Jessica Davis and the crazy part was the detective called me telling me to call the guy before he presses charges

Typical under-aged girl scam.  There is no detective and there is no underaged girl.  All the parties are adults.  This is an ongoin scam.  For some reason the extortionist uses are a code 843 a lot and calls on the weekends.  Ignore and block these calls.  Make a complaint to the police for attempted extortion. DO NOT PAY THEM ANYTHING.  There are several threads of this kind of scam on 800notes.  This scammer has called thousands of possible victims.  No one knows where they are located.

I got a voicemail from the Denver Police HQ but couldn't hear ANYTHING they were saying except "if you meet  resolution, no charges will be drawn against you" and the phone # 843-274-8897. I called the number back right away and they told me that nobody would ever call me from the Police HQ unless I had called in to them and reported a crime or filed a police report. From what everyone is saying, it's a scam. I'll be filing a complaint with the Denver PD fraud department if they call again.

How about reading my post.  This is an extortion attempt.  Go to the police and make a complaint of attempted extortion.   What exactly are you waiting for?  Extortion.  Extortion.  EXTORTION.  EXTORTION!  What part of the word "extortion" do you NOT understand?

Thank god I googled the number! A girl named Jessica messaged me on pof asking for my number right away. I asked if she was fake she said "lol no I'm not" ... seemed like a normal responce. I gave her my number and she texted me and right away she sent me a topless picture and said she was turning 17 next month and moving from South Carolina to Miami.(I live in ft lauderdale)...I questioned her why she would lie about her age and send me nude pictures and that I did not ask for any and it is illegal for me to have. She did not respond but after about 8-9 beers I got curious around 1:30am and texted her again just to talk and i went on trying to figure out if she was who she said she was, I asked to talk on phone and she said her speaker on her phone was broken(red flag) I should have know. But she sent me soundless videos that kind of convinced me she was real, after her begging and pleading with me to show her my D.. I sent the pic and she sent me another video trying to tell me somthing. Then she sent me a [***] pic.. it was appealing only there was small letters at the bottom right that read "candy" obviously it was an image off google or somewhere. I called her out on it and there was no response. The next day(today) I got a call from Miami police department and had a conversation with a "detective" and he said I'm facing charges of child pornography and corruption of a minor. But then saying her father James Davis wants to have a word with me and possibly resolve the situation so he will not turn in the phone as evidence. He gave me his number and said to call him, I took down the number. Then I questioned the situation, I told him I was being set up and it's a scam and I don't deserve this to happen to me. He didn't say much other than good luck. I texted the number instead of calling..we talked over the situation and then he said his wife wants me in jail tonight. he wanted me to call but I forwarded them, and then asked why he wants to talk on the phone. I asked why he wants to talk on the phone, he said "nevermind, you're going to jail" I said "why waste money on lawyers?" I thought about the situation and red flags that to me looked like I was being set up.. then I decided to google James's number and found this thread! I told James he will need lawyers if I accuse him of Extortion!! Then I told him the cops have been looking for him for a while and are tracking his phone and he will be the one going to jail and I'm blocking his number. I won?
TBH people.. I most likely would have committed suicide, life has been a slippery slope of misfortune the past few years and my gf cheated on me a month ago. Thanks.

The only thing worrying me now is that he must have contacted the Miami police department and stated their accusations so they would contact me and make everything look real, could I still get arrested if they sent in screen shots of the conversation? Something was said about that. James did not ever ask me for money.. I'm guessing that is why he wanted to talk on the phone. Good luck to the next potential victims.

You are being scammed.  Please read prior posts.   Ignore and block the calls.  Do not talk to these crooks.

They are extortionists.  There are no underaged girls invoked.  An extortionist is not going to the police.  Period.  Use your brains.  Get some street smarts. If you havent' done it already, go to police and make a complaint of attempted extortion.  That's a crime.  You are a crime victim.

No need to be scared.  That's what the extortionist wants.  Google this scam out.  It's ongoing.  Don't be
a victim.  Or at least any more of a victim.  You have been threatened by an extoritionts.  That is a crime in itself--report it.  Do not talk to this guy and after you've made a police report, if you do talk to him, give him the police report number.  That should shut him up.  You've got to be pro-active and aggressive in frighting this character.

You were called by the extortionist we are all writing about in here.  One of his MOs is to pretend to be a policeman.  He pretends to be an actual police detective and spoofs the number of the local police department. You'v e heard of "spoofing" havent' you?  Well that's what happened.  Use your brains and do some research.  Google
out "underaged girl scam".  Plenty of information out there.

Go to police and make a complaint of attempted extortion.  Take a copy of this thread and print it out and give it to police.

Underaged girl scam numbers.  Appears to be centered on the Eastern Seaboard somewhere.  I think it is the same party or parties doing this.  I suspect that they actually work in the telemarketing industry in some capacity or another.

The extortionists work from dating sites.

MO goes like this:   Someone contacts you saying they are the “father” of and under aged girl you contacted.  They say they will go to police unless you pay them money by untraceable means.

In some cases they spoof real police detectives and real police departments. Say there is an investigation ongoing and   by the way,  they’ll  l stop the investigation if you pay  them or the complainant party a certain amount of money.  Again by untraceable means.

Anyone contacted by these extortionists should immediately block the number and make a police report of attempted extortion.  This crime  is a felony in most jurisdictions.   As is outright extortion.  Absolutely do NOT pay the extortionist anything.
