I have received numerous calls from this number. Each time I tell them the person they are looking for is not at my number. They are rude and hang up on me.

Scam collection agency looking for someone else in my building. They are nasty and vulgar people.

Spoofed telephone number. They are scam scum looking to suckers to fleece.

Called regarding claims against me and that they will serve me at work. They are full of ish and they try to scare people into paying them. Don't respond to them.

This number (843-531-9272) is from a collection agency that specializies in payday loans. Several years ago I briefly worked for one of these type companies and pretty much all of them use scare tactics in order to get you to pay up. They use aliases instead of their real names and they will use legal jargon on you in a lame attempt to make you bleieve youre in serious trouble with the law.

They will use words and phrases like: 'pending charges against you', fraudulent check charges against you','pending court orders', etc,etc..... Sometimes they will break the FDCPA(Fair Debt Collections Practices Act)by threatening you with arrest, which in turn you can actually sue them for that.

Dont fall for their b.s. and DO NOT give them a dime!! Instead, do what I do and call their bluff and have a little fun with them. Its kind of funny to listen to them get frustrated then hang up on you.    

lol, they told me the same thing 2 times before..I asked the guy why havent they served me yet like they said they were going to do? The guy paused for a moment then said they wanted to give me time to 'think about it' before they actually went through with it.  I laughed at the guy and then he hung up.

Wow what a bunch of b.s.  She told me id be served with papers shortly..Yeah whatever....Something abt a payday loan that she said was charged off over 4 years ago....dumb [***]....

Just got a call from 843-531-9272 saying they are calling from the process and summons dept.  Saying that there is fraudulant activity attached to my name and that charges will be filed against me and that I will get a summons at my place of employment or home.  This is about the 10th call that i have gotten from this bogus company - each time, they call from a diff cloned telephone number - when i call the number back that they call on i get " this number has been disconnected" They are calling my elderly fami,y member as well - threatening them.  Do we have any legal recourse here??

I've never gotten a pay day loan and they seriously call be like 5 times a day and have for years even after I've changed my number.... they won't stop

I would start off by recording the conversation next time that they call you(Check with your state laws because some states you may not have to inform them that you're recording the call).

Then ask them for their mailing address and then send them a Cease and Desist letter, make sure you send it certified.

That should stop the calls but if they keep calling you after that contact your State Attorney's office or you can call the CFPB(Consumer Financial Protection Bureau) at (855)411-2372.

I received the same call and message! Scammers and liers.

Actually, some of them are legit collection agencies trying to collect on old unpaid payday loans. How it works is that a person will take out a payday loan(either in person or online) and if its not paid back, The lender will try to collect. If they cant collect they will sell the paper to a collection agency like this one and they will take their turn trying to collect. This will continue for awhile until the paper is then sold again to another collection agency on so on and so on..

reeived a call this morning from the processing and summons dept stating they need my address and will contact my HR dept for permission to serve me on the job.  No name was given just the phone # of 843-531-9272.  They said it was their 3 and final time trying to collect a debt but they have never called prior.

Got a call from this number a few hours ago.  Left a message on my voicemail with all sorts of language that clearly violates FDCPA (Fair Debt Collections Practices Act).  Expired/paid debt paper buying collector scumbags.

File the complaint with the federal trade commission.  Also call PAC-WEST-TELEC, the phone company they are using and let them know the company is fraudulently trying to collect a bogus debt.  Only when we band together will we see these people brought to justice.

Rcvd a computer call from a female caller no name given same ole crap phone #843-531-9272 so let me get this they have called supposely 3 times for an alleged debt and their suppose to serve paperwork uhmm yeah still waiting months later.

Ignore scum bag collection agency...they can't do anything.
