First time call from this number. No caller ID, no city or state. Sent to VM but no message left. Receiving more 844 calls lately, numbers are different except for area code. Yet to have any "844" caller leave a VM message.

Just finished reviewing some blogs about harassing calls from this number. Seems fairly clear this is a debt collection agency using extreme harassment and unlawful threats of lawsuit, repossession, notifying employers and relatives, etc.. One post identified the company as "Monarch Recovery" without details of how the caller was identified. Should have better verification before attaching a firm name to this call type.

Answered and nobody spoke.  No clue who these jerks are but I wish 844 numbers would quit already.

Monarch Debt collector.  Looking for Jeffery Baer.  We have had this number since 2009,  in the old phone books it used to be his phone number, he still lives in our town but went to a cell phone and If I knew it I would be giving it to these debt collectors.  I even called his mother and told him to fix this situation.  Am sick of it but all I can do is tell each and every debt collector that it is NOT his number.  Half of the don't believe me and still call over and over.  Anything else I can do?

Yeah, change your number. Duh.

If you notify the company in writing that they have the wrong number and you are not to be called, they are required to STOP calling you. If they do not you can report them for harassment to the Federal Trade Commission.

Considering that changing her number is what started the problem in the first place, that would be stupid.

844-205-2138 = caller id = caller id = 800 Service = spoofed number = robocaller, long wait to a person = Monarch Debt collection for someone I have never hear of, and then he tries to get me to tell him my personal info over the phone = scam = ...ugh...

Called landline; I didn't answer. Immediately called cell; I didn't answer.

They call my cell all the time i never answered no voice mail now i just call them and hang up see how they like it haha

Keeps calling our home phone number.  They call our house number several times a week.

I receive multiple calls from this number daily,  It is truly annoying.  I answer and hang it.  Very frustrating!

This number has been calling my cell phone around the same time every single evening for the last couple of weeks.  They keep asking for someone I have never even heard of.  I have told them over and over that they have the wrong number and to stop calling, but they continue to call.  I have had this cell phone number since around 2007 and the only people who have my number are family and friends, so I have no clue how they got my number.  So annoying!!!

Considering that you know his personal information and are spreading it on the internet, you may be held liable by this person. I hope that you are not discussing this person to the collectors. That can win him a huge lawsuit!

I don't know who sent me this I didn't say what company I was busts u didn't know

Got a voice mail but didn't say who they wanted.  The message included going to a website or calling a 1-855 number.  nope not gonna do it.
