I just received a call from them and they were asking for my ex girlfriend from a year ago!! They were polite and removed me from their calling list! Stark Recovery was the name of the company!!

This is not a legit recovery place! They tell people they have a payday loan they had taken out years ago supposedly. Then they tell you if you don't pay them a certain amount today that it would escalate and it would go to court! They called me 4 times today. Once, on my work phone, my cell phone, my mothers phone, and my sisters. All looking to get into contact with me. They should not have this info since I just moved to a new state and we all have new cell phone numbers. When I asked them, they said they did a back ground check on my social security number and found possible relatives and contacted them. That right there should be against the law. When I asked them to send me info on this case, she said she couldn't because that would be validation of debt. Which all I was asking was what the info was, and who and why they were trying to collect money from me! This is all she kept saying. The place that I supposedly took the loan out from is "Alliance Online" it's a payday loan place I guess. So, not only did I call my local police department, I also called my bank and cancelled my bank account and opened a new one. Then I called the social security office and had them put what's called a watch on my ss number and every time it is run I am notified. So, if you get a call like this from this number and they start spouting off your ss number, bank info, stuff like that tell them that is not you, and that you will be contacting your local law office to let them know what they are trying to do!

Called me and didn't say anything. I get enough of these bs calls I sure hope they don't call back.

They called me and told me I owe a debt from payday from 2012... I said I never took out a loan... They had all my info including my ss#... I'm scared what can I do???

Did you ever apply online for a loan?
If you did this is how they got your info.
Even if you never accepted a loan.
Just a thought.

Just had a woman call me from this number and refused to tell me the name of the company or the supposed "legal matter" it is in regards to. When I asked where the company is based out of and why they are calling me, she just kept asking for my Social Security # over the phone. I refused so she hung up. SKETCHY.
